I'm late to the party but A+ for the simplicity of getting straight to the point with this GPU. As an owner of this card as well, I really enjoy it and it blows past my 6700XT. Only complaint I have is the length of the card. But I'm completely satisfied by the purchase. Keep up the great work SH.

I just picked up a 3080 TI same card, it's so far but does run a little toasty on demanding games but well worth the price of admission!

Yeah I noticed MSI tends to prioritize noise over thermals. As long as the card isn't hitting 90c i'm good.

Yea I have same card and it ran at 83c with some games. I went ahead under volt a bit and now runs around 72c

@@SystematicHardware I actually experienced this first hand, I have been running this card since I got it in a vertical configuration. Just recently I found out my Riser cable was not giving me a full bandwith 16X @pcie 4 so I replaced it. My ram temps idle around 46c ( triddent Z royal elite ) in those days while I was waiting for the new riser I had the GPU directly into the motherboard ( Asus X570 Extreme ) and saw my dimms all shoot up about an average of 6c in idle and 7c while gaming for a total of while gaming 63c. Luckily I have some of the best B die sticks on the market if not the best, but because of the back plate of the trio being directly under the DIMMs, the heat was right under them and made thermals a lot worse. When I got my new riser they went back down to olde temps after putting GPU back in the vertical position.

Cool video! I plan on getting this card. I can't help but ponder what psu to go for since I was originally going for the corsair rmx 850w 2021 ver. Would that suffice? I'd like to also ask what psu you're using? Thanks!

The corsair RMX 850w would be a good choice. Right now i'm using the EVGA 1000w SuperNova G3, which is a bit over kill. I plan to use 850w EVGA SuperNova GA PSU's for upcomming RTX 3080 builds.

@Pcnazillp G True but given the availibility circumstances, RTX 3000 series being discontinued and the possibility of another 4000 series paper launch is more likely to happen. Due to possible upcomming supply chain issues compounding, my recommendaiton is to purchase now if you'd like to upgrade, while you have the opportunity.

I have this same card. The only issue I have with it is the backplate light bar looks cheap with the several visible bulbs instead of a solid light bar. Kinda disappointed as this is not a budget card. MSI Suprim 3080 Ti has the single light bar.

Do your PSU -> GPU cables Have to NOT be daisy chained or does it not matter.

It depends on how power hungry the graphics card is, the quality of your PSU and how powerful it is. High end probably not a good idea but if you have a decent power supply and you're running low to mid tier graphics card under 250w power draw, it'll probably be fine.

Do you have 3 separate pcie cables? Or is one running off of the side connections?

Yes I have 3 separate psu cables via a 1000w power supply. Depending on the quality of the power supply, for example you can look up on EVGA's website to see the gauge wire and how much power the cable supports. You may be able to get away with two dedicated cables with the second cable as a "daisy chain". Just to be safe I go with 3

I routed two 6+2 pins and then a 6+2 that had a daisy chained 6+2 on it. All 3 were individually routed from vga 1 through 3. I get lights, fans spinning but no post. Am i doing something wrong? My psu is 1000 watt GQ EVGA

Did you resolve this issue? Got mine 2 days ago and same issue... MOBO is showing me "b2" error, I connected the GPU with 3 individual 8 pin cables and nothing...

@@c1bas3k7 my gpu wasnt fully seated. A corsair rgb hub i installed was blocking the card from fully inserting.
