@@KZfaqDeletesGoodCommentsI recently started doing the same. Cut drinking from daily to once every two weeks. It started after new year. And no it wasn’t a resolution. Just kinda happen I didn’t really even try I just lost interest in being hungover every day. I already saved up 4 grand. Did a 72hr fast. Bought a couple guns. And have a down payment for a house. Without drinking things become clear. The long paths that seem too unobtainable become within reach. And I went through my birthdays and friends birthday since the new year. It’s weird my desire to drink just vanished. Idk I’m sure it’ll be back once warm weather returns.

That's true, and averaging a quarter pound of loss a day is a very sustainable and safe pace to lose fat. I guess to me 30 lbs in 4 months sounds smallish for such an extreme diet and daily exercise.

I’ll never understand big guys who obsess over losing weight unless you’re at the point where you can barely even move because of the weight. Just eat a little better (no crazy diets needed), get a lot of protein and lift large weights with some light cardio here and there, when you’re big like that you can convert all that mass into muscle instead of fat and get yoked much easier than the average guy. I helped one of my friends do the same thing. I’m 6’6 but slim and I have to eat crazy amounts of food even if I’m not exercising to keep weight and muscle on.

@BlueBeamProjectionist
@BlueBeamProjectionist 6 ай бұрын
@@therainman7777 fat and protein are more satiating than carbs, and especially sugars. If you do keto and you consistently lose weight without tracking your calories its because youre consuming less calories. however, even if you are in a calorie surplus and gaining fat, you will lose weight if you cut carbs out of your diet because water binds to carbs so you will have less glycogen and subq water retention. I tried keto when I went on a cut once and I lost 8lbs in the first week and then exactly the amount Id expect to lose given the number of calories I consumed. What I'm getting at is that keto as a major weightloss diet is essentially a calorie restriction mechanism. If youre a huge fatso that drinks soda all day and eats french fries and candy all the time, then yeah you might lose weight eating carbless junk food, but it is purely because of calorie deficit.
@therainman7777
@therainman7777 6 ай бұрын
@@BlueBeamProjectionist So your argument is that keto is just a mechanism for inducing calorie deficit. And? What point do you think you’re making? Everyone already knows that. The reason why people do keto is because it works; for many people it’s the only way of eating that allows them to easily maintain a calorie deficit without feeling hungry all the time and requiring insane levels of willpower. Your argument is pointless; ALL weight loss is mediated by calorie deficit. The point is that keto makes it for easy to enter and maintain that calorie deficit, for many people. Your original post was saying how keto guys “fall for everything” and then tried to make a joke about using full fat creamer (I’m assuming you mean heavy cream). “Keto guys” aren’t falling for anything-they’re using a tool to accomplish a goal, and it’s working for them. And yes, heavy cream is better in your coffee than regular milk if you’re doing keto, because it has fewer grams of sugar for the amount needed to lighten your coffee. You’re hearing trying to laugh at other people but in reality you don’t know what you’re talking about.
@td1253
@td1253 6 ай бұрын
True, keto is for retards that don’t understand it tanks your test and drains your energy. They get converted by losing some water weight while not yet even in ketosis and spew verbal shit on the internet with little to no substance to support it There are no shortcuts to losing weight, but it’s easy if you just eat in a caloric deficit, eat .8-1g protein per lb of lean body mass, and cut out refined carbs and excessive fat

In my opinion... it all comes down to how strong your Disgust response is. You have to be revolted with your bodies current shape and look at unhealthy food as something thats actually trying to poison you to death. If you become complacent with how fat & weak you are and think the sole purpose of food is to "feel good" in the short term then you're going to fail...
@therainman7777

@@therainman7777 those medical diagnoses only apply when taken to the absolute extreme. Disgust is a natural response and holding it to yourself is completely natural… is someone who’s stressed from work experiencing PTSD? Vast majority of time the answer is obviously no… being disgusted with yourself because your obese is a good thing. It helps facilitate a positive change.

@@DrakeBrunette I agree that it’s about the severity of the emotion; however, what you described WAS the extremely severe version of these feelings. You said “you need to be absolutely revolted with your body’s shape and look at food as something that is actively trying to poison you to death.” Those are almost the textbook definitions of body dysmorphia and orthorexia, respectively. Both are about as extreme as you can get. A much more moderate and healthier attitude would be “I’m not happy with the shape I’m currently in, and I know the shape I want to be in and am going to visualize that repeatedly as my goal,” and “I know which foods are healthy and which are unhealthy, and why, so I will have discipline and make smart choices in choosing the former and avoiding the latter.”

@@td1253 You’re 100% right. I’ve put off lifting for too long. I have to atleast buy dumbbells again and start there. When you put on muscle you apparently increase the amount of calories you burn when you’re at rest. It’s a win win. If I don’t start lifting a little I’ll just be in constant skinny fat yo-yo mode. I fast a lot, and do a lot of daily steps, but I’m at the age where I’ve noticed I actually have and am losing muscle.
