I agree on the sound, and as for the comparison of course they both have a different design. But for sound on the AA it’s not bad, can’t say similar since the owner of this M240i has a Milltek catback.

@@VonB3 MST is made in Taiwan compared to AA made in Florida. How's the quality of the MST seem so far? Also was there really no Check Engine Light?

@@chrisginoc Yes, two different companies one in Asia and one in the USA. But I like both 😎. When it comes to quality, i’d say it’s welded nicely, i’m a welder myself and the work is quality. As for any CEL, none which is good to hear from the owner.

If your car is equipped with OPF you’ll have to get the OPF version unless you do an OPF delete from Leib engineering or another company. But the difference between downpipes are nothing, from the 2022 m240i’s to the 2022 Supra’s. Now as for the sizing which will be the middle part is where it’s 4.5”-6” will be the diameter of the downpipe. But where it connects from the turbo is still normal sizing like 2.5” or 3”, can’t remember the exact size of outlet on the stock turbo exhaust side.

Catted downpipes from MST won’t throw a CEL, although when I was living in Europe, I do remember the European BMW’s had OPF where as my US Spec BMW’s didn’t. Just make sure you get the OPF version that way you don’t buy the wrong one if you have a Euro spec BMW.

@@VonB3 yeah but MST wont ship to Hungary xDD so i have to choose another one thats why i ask what is the difference between 6" and 4.5" inch downpipe is it louder or deeper or what makes it difference?

@@VonB3 amazing video, sick build. Pretty much ideally what I’d want to do to my car. I want to do lowering springs and the front lip but I have a steep driveway. AA downpipe coming soon then I might cut up the exhaust.

@@megaawsomeperson123 Thanks, it’s a good buddy’s car and I love his M240i. But with those mods you mentioned you’ll have fun and yes be careful with the lips even not being lowered. Post yours up when you can and send the link.

For all US spec cars no OPF, so no check engine light. The OPF system was made for cars in Europe and some other counties due to sound regulations and emissions. That is why US spec cars sound slightly different vs cars that have the OPF system.

The owner is currently using a JB4, eventually he will do a DME unlock and get fully tuned via MHD.
