Taped during the 1991 Turkey Day Marathon at 2 pm, November 28, 1991.
This is currently my oldest broadcast episode with commercials intact! The vast majority of my tapes are from late-1993 or later. Its been very hard to find anything from early-1993 or earlier, so when I stumbled on this, I was very excited.
If YOU have any MST episodes with commercials from 1993 or earlier, drop me a line!
As the tape was so old, it was very faded and dark and muddy. Had to adjust the brightness, colors and color saturation to make it somewhat presentable. It was in pretty bad shape originally.
Also, note that ~5 minutes of ads are missing, it was like that on the tape, someone manually edited them out themselves originally.
I've also added back in the original pre-movie bumper.
Check back here roughly every week for more broadcast versions of MST3K episodes.

She was my favorite bot too, espically when she had that jarring falsetto up until jack Frost, I's great that she got more character in the series.

Thank you so much for these. It is rather funny that back ion the day we worked so hard editing the commercials OUT of our VHS recordings, and now we miss the silly ads we discarded. In the end, it is not just the programs that shaped our lives, but the commercials as well. Keep up the great work.

It is the fact that the commercials are included, that makes this a cultural snapshot. Even the commercials in the later episodes are of a different style, different services that have since been outmoded, etc. It's worth preserving, even just for camp value, plus it makes the episodes free from copyright claims. I wish I had them all on VHS, forming an archive was once a goal of mine, until I realized others had preceded me. Much love @Tarlcabot25

I feel bad for Gypsy in this episode. At least the other robots managed to find some appreciation for her eventually. I sincerely do like the very last segment. It features Joel telling everyone about how even though the movie is bad, they can still find ways to laugh at it. TV's Frank even ends up agreeing with them. That is a lot about what the whole series is about. They even had time to read a letter. While not one of the best episodes, this was still tons of fun. It wasn't really a unique movie for the characters to riff on, but it was still nice. I think the funniest part is when the woman says, "Do you want me to vomit whenever another guy is coming along?" followed by, "You do it when I come along!". The bit at the end with just Tom Servo and Crow saying, "He's upstairs!" . It was cool to see Gypsy briefly appear in the theater too! The "Hey mister, can you help me?" line was great too

I think this is the first episode where we see how very lucid and intelligent Gypsy is whenever she's not running the satellite higher's functions because in season 1 and the majority of season 2, she was very autistic-like. Starting early on in season 3, I think when she became more smarter, talked more and became the motherly figure and the cutie we know and love.
