That should crack the board stopping all the negates and emptying the board without destruction, BUT thats also why Yubel players are choosing to keep Rage on field.

In regards to Evenly, a common ED tech for Memento is Herald of Mirage Lights specifically to protect against boardbreakers like it and Lightning Storm. So they would need to bait out the S/T negate some other way first And if you have Bone Party set, you get to pop one of your own monsters first while also guaranteeing decent follow-up for next turn. If you also have S:P instead of Mirage Light you can manage to avoid actually losing most of your resources aside from maybe the field spell (which past the 1st turn isn't as important anyway) and one other backrow Memento also isn't all that concerned with Mulcharmy. Normally, the NS, Horse, Horned Dragon, and Combined Creation would get them 4 draws, but you can also dump Combined into grave to summon it from there in order to cut it down to 3, and you can also use Bone Party to get Horned Dragon straight from deck instead)

Mulcharmy gets you 4 draws against Yubel DBB, whatever the additional normal summon off it is, Squirmer, and Sharvara. And that's pretty good honestly because the deck can end on so many hoops you have to jump around, the extra options you gain from the card draws can help.

Tenpai is possible to get 3 draws off of but you’d have to see Dora plus Chundra. Chances are it’s 2, with Paidra-Chundra or Dora-Genroku

I think Yubel Fiendsmith could have a fair answer against every problematic going 2nd card: if you play Knightmare Gryphon, you can send judgement/anti-spell/skill drain with Beatrice and then set it with Gryphon. Idk if it is really possible as the ed is kinda tight, but I think it could be a good thing to try out.

The wanna be maxx c is a side worthy card. People forget the second effect. Shuffle at random. Imagine drawing the cards you think you need just to randomly shuffle it back. Imagine how bad that would feel.

Mulcharmy will be good in the side in most decks and great in the main of decks that prefer going 2nd. If its not $100 per copy, I'll be running 3 in the main. Playing blind 2nd Snake-eye Salad Sky Striker (its stupid OP)

for Yubel vs the "new" Maxx C. it's 5 draws if they also have throne. throne adds from the hand then SS the yubel monster. either way I think it's going to be a solid side deck card even if it only draws 1 card. also I see we aren't respecting Labrynth in this video most of the cards mentioned in this video don't effect it and in my opinion got a lot better with the release of Phantom of Yubel. you can play the new Equation canon heavy trap build and have the yubel engine for a recursive monster interruption to slowly out grind the opponent.

I'll main deck mulcharmy for 2 reasons. The bad reason is that I never win die rolls so I may as well play it, the other reason is that it being water can work well in Ghoti if I have for instance Fishborg in hand & don't want to lose any of the other monsters in hand.

Evenly would get the chance to be activated againts Chimera Smiths, Diabellze.

Memento actually work ok under droll like yeah under droll your board alot weaker but they can still get to Tecu and Conq (this still set up 2-3 pop, a steal and follow up play) of their 1 card combo and if they draw more engine card like party, fusion etc then droll nowhere near turn ender for them About Evenly they can actually go for Herald of Miragelight line to counter evenly or going for the 2 quick spell set up board and blow their stuff in bp with party and horn leaving fusion set to access Conq in mp2

Mulchomy seems to be at least a plus 1 in every match so i dont see why you should not play it

Ngl I think D.D. Crow is going to be better than being an alternative since it cuts off the fiendsmith engine by banishing Fabled (if that’s their first line of play since they likely have a clear field). Bystials won’t work until after it’s summoned and they’d still be able to get out at least one Engraver. Also has more flexibility by targeting non-light/dark monsters

Yeah dark ruler is not great against yubel, dies irae will just negate it after chamber is chained to ruler, also even if it resolves rage will come from grave later

Recommending dark ruler in fiendsmith format seems like terrible advice. The one format where most decks are going to be running a monster that can negate dark ruler and have interruptions in their graveyard... If a yubel player has any sort of competence there's no reason they wouldn't be ending on soul of rage in grave and chamber set for every single end board. Not only does this protect 3 interruptions from dark ruler, this makes every single yubel end board have a trap available to chain dies irae which means they can outright negate the dark ruler. So no, absolutely not, do not play dark ruler no more against fiendsmith yubel you will get negated and if you don't you'll still have 3-4 interruptions to deal with. If you want to actually break their board, you'd need to play droplet and send a trap and monster as cost so they can't chain any negate or chain abominable chamber/escape of the unchained to allow dies irae to negate the droplet. Edit: just remembered the illusion link 2 is also in INFO, even more reason not to use dark ruler. Generic link 2 that gives every deck access to a trap card that negates any face up card effects.

I dont know why people are saying Mulcharmy isn't going to be good. You know pot of greed is still banned right? You said yourself most decks summon 3 or more times from the hand. Starting turn 2 with 8 cards in hand, or drawing into 3 additional handtraps is insane
