M. S. V. The great musician in the whole world!! He is the king of "rhythms" !! Its his style and he liked it very much!! So many songs like this type only!! His main style is "rhythms" in his songs!! I like this very much !! I have enough words in order to praise my "guru " m .s .v.!! அவரின் இந்த ரிதம் மிக அழகாக இருக்கும்!! எல்லாவற்றையும் அழகாக க் கையாள்வதில் வல்லவர் அவர்!! அவரைப் போல உலகீல் வேறே எவருமே இசைக்க முடியாது!!

I am grateful to such doyens like you sir,for digging out such of his achievements in technical terms..as I am a die hard fan of the great master MSV..so that I can spread it to my contacts who don't know about his greatness

Very educative demo. Congrats to all the people involved. a layman like me with no knowledge of rhythms has been able to observe rhythmic variations in some songs, albeit understanding the technical aspects or the nuances. It will be a great tribute to MSV if more songs are selected and alalyzed on various aspects. The people who manage MMFA need all our support.

It is really an educative programme. Un matched bongos beats of Late Sri. Gopalakrishnan is still remembered. In the film Nimirnthu Nil, the song Thedivarum comes twice with two different rhythm pattern. This could also be emphasized. Very good programme. Congratulations to all those organized the programme. Base Accordion,Guitar,trumpet and Drums were handled and played by Mangala Moorthy,Philips,Thomas and Noel Grant respectively.Guitars were played also by Sai Baba, Abu Gabriel and Sadanand on various MSV songs.

Please mention the names of the original percussionists who actually played the instruments to embellish the songs that were taken for discussion. If possible share the photos two percussion virtuosos who were part of the MSV orchestra. You are doing a great job. Thanks.

Nothing original here.Not that the other composers didn't use the same approach in their rythemic songs.Lot of the rythemic songs of Viswanathan were inspired by Western Music.When you are breaking down music like this, that is also clearly seen if you know the connected western music.

kumcha3 your observation is quite right. Rhythm is western music imported. In that respect Vedha stands taller than MSV in the introduction of rhythm sense in Tamil cinema music. MSV has tried variation in rhythm based songs.
