This video highlights our day trip to Mt. Baker from Bellingham, Washington to Nooksak Falls and Artist Point with some incredible drone footage!
After a fun whale watching experience in the San Juan Islands, we made it up to Bellingham Washington and took a trip over to Nooksak Falls and Artist Point in the Mt. Baker National Forest. Some of my favorite drone footage from Washington.

Fact check: Yes, the most recent eruption of new lava from Mount Baker occurred 6,700 years ago. But, between the 1840's and 1880's, hydro-thermal explosions and collapses rocked Mount Baker. It is still a very geologically active volcano and steam can occasionally be seen rising from its summit crater features.

Went on my honeymoon to Maple Falls up near Mount Baker. We visited Nooksak falls in the morning (awesome!!) and did the Lake Anne Trail later that day. Such an awesome view of Mount Shuksan at the end. Not for the faint of heart, but so worth it and would highly recommend. If it's not cloudy then you'll get great views of Baker along the way too. There's a pizza place nearby called North Fork Brewery - it made for a perfect end to the day.

Glad to see you made it up to Artist Point, you wouldn’t believe how many Washingtonians have never made that drive. Most people make it to the ski area and head back down not knowing the best part of the drive is from the resort up. I was born in Switzerland and I can say those last three mile are as beautiful as the Alps. I started snowboarding 39 years ago and still ride at Mt Baker since 1985 and yes I was there during that world record season, I was an incredible season. The award winning movie Deer Hunter was partially filmed at the Artist Point parking lot (give it a watch)

The picture you showed of a large mountain (the one you see as you drive up the hill) is actually Mt Shuksan, you aren’t the first to think it’s Mt Baker though.
