Thank you for down loading this beautiful video. It brings back some fond memories from 1997 when I hitch hiked from Kashgar to Lhasa via Mount Kailash. This region of Tibet is one of the most awe-inspiring places on this planet.

my mother just tragically died in a car accident, I am American, my wife is Nepali and i have lived in Nepal , Im searching for some relief of my sorrow and viewed this , then i cried.

I am vasuki from Malaysia. Now I am 62+. When I was much younger, all these sacred journeys was my first choice. So fascinating. But Unfortunately, things did not happen as I dreamt. My life surrounds children, husband , in laws etc..could not free myself. Lots of sacrifices and duties . Now, you have captured all the way to mt. Kailash and back so vividly. This is the best video of Mt Kailas the outer Kora I have ever seen in the entire you tube postings.👌👌Good quality video with superb pictures and narration.🙏🙏.I was also blessed in July 4 th 2012 to go there via Nepal but had severe mountain sickness with dizzyness.Can only sit on the horse and go.After reaching the top Dol ma la pass coming down without the horse for a day was very very tiring and scarry but my breathing was good. Thanks to my Nepali guides Basu and Shri for literally carrying me and helping me all the way down to the monastery. I fell to their feet after reaching the base camp and stuffed their pockets all my Chinese,Nepali, American , Canadian and Indian currencies. Gave away all the warm.clothes, boots, trekking poles and jackets and left Nepal only with what I wore.I know the exact feeling when you went and touched the North phase of Mt.Kailas.i😭😭😭 Om Nama Shivayya🕉🕉🕉 Canada.

I watched this video a few years ago and it struck a chord: I have been thinking about this journey of yours ever since at some level. There is a wonderful feeling of peace, reflection and longing to belong that you communicate naturally in your travel log. You let your journey speak for itself and we are truly along for the voyage. I love the introspection and feeling of being part of a something bigger that one would experience on a journey like this one. One could not live this experience without being affected for the better.

Thanks for posting this. I was fascinated by Tibet when I was a young 20 something man ( I’m in my 50’s now )and visiting Kailas was a big dream. I owned many books on it too. That dream dissipated and I forgot about it and never even looked up KZfaq all these years. Yours popped up on my feed and brought it all back. You are lucky to have seen a more ancient Tibet before the Chinese brought “progress”.
