Odometer correction for a 2012 Cruze using the OBDPROG MT601 tool.

To all people stating this is wrong or illegal; it's a tool to be used for certain circumstances. My instrument cluster went out, I got a used one but the mileage is way off from what the car actually has. So what is better? Have completely wrong mileage on the working odometer? Of course someone might use this for the wrong reason, it's the same as having a gun.

I always wondered do you guys change the odometer for the same reason you said. I've always wanted a second gen Tahoe or Yukon but I've known they have the cluster going out for some of them.

I came across an ad on Facebook Marketplace of a 2008 Suburban Z71 with what was supposed to be 85,000 miles but when I looked at the inside in the pictures, it was obvious that this guy was lying because that interior looks like something out of a 200,000 mile Suburban and when I read the reviews on the person listing the Suburban, these people were complaining about the seller not providing the vin and it’s very obvious that the seller was hiding something

Not completely sure. I've had success with early GM digital odometers. But have not done an S-10 and they don't show it in their compatibility list.

The tool is in kilometers. Miles will display after successful communication.

@@stevenk628 it’s not fake at all lmao. People use these all the time and they’re literally available on Amazon. They have legit uses. The reason he entered a different number is because you have to put the mileage in as kilometers. Youd know that if you read the caption.

Better off to not do this! For this reason, odometer fraud, a deceptive practice involving the alteration or misrepresentation of a vehicle's mileage, is a federal fraud crime under Title 49 U.S. Code 32703. It's a federal crime to disconnect, reset, or alter a motor vehicle odometer to change the mileage.

It was 102123 then on device you put 283087 over all I didn’t get where does 175902 is coming from???🥸🧐
