Thank you sooo much for taking the time to make this review about it, i have 3 of these and for the money you get a good bang for your buck. The only thing i do not like about the MTC optic line is.....no life time warranty with it and on the MTC viper on full power 30" it can get a little blurry, even to the point where it it hard to see the reticle.

Good review thanks, ive never needed to shim mounts tho, just swapping front to back or rotating 180 has always solved that issue, which incidentally has alwas been with hawke mounts

Great to get a good review like this. I was looking at these scopes, but all I could find was MOA versions, is your scope metric? At the moment, I have an Elements Optics scope and find the dots on the the sight picture very hard to see. The sight box is also very poor, you have to have your head just in the right position otherwise all I see is black. What is the sight box like in this scope?

Yep looks a nice scope, my friend has yust purchased one for his Fx Boss, I havent seen it yet though. ps MTC Optisan are no more.. Two seperate companies I believe now. Funny enough I have an MTC Optisan EVX 4-16x44 F1 on my compatto.. ps I love that stock! and do you fancy fitting a reg kit, though im very impressed already with consistancy with the slingshot system, withe a reg fitted too, they must be amazing..

Nice review. Does your scope have slack/backlash in the parallax wheel? I got one and it has almost a quarter of a turn at 25y.

its not entirely the scopes fault that it runs out of clicks for elevation. most air rifles suffer from barrel droop. adjustable mounts are safer than shimming. just purchased Hawke 22140 mounts for my MTC Viper Pro. going to be using that set up on my Brocock Commander. may invest in a side wheel too.

@airgunsandstuffyorkshire2694 жыл бұрын
Yes I still use it on my red wolf and have had no problems with it. I would reccomend adjustable mounts I use the Hawk brand. I have made a video on this. I can swap the scope from my redwolf to my brocock and it keeps zero between both guns just need to swap the ring over from .22 to .177 and it's all good.

Have one in 3-18x50 on my Red Wolf. Was unsure if the mag was enough but seems ok for plinking at my local range. Impressed with the glass. Have used Big Nikko in the past.

I love it. I went for this purely for the window system using .22 at the time so I didnt get lost. I shoot using 10x all the time so all the dots are true. Working on some mods for it and will be making some vids soon. Thanks for the comment 😁😁😁😁

I own a number of viper scopes but not on an air rifle. Are these scopes you are showing made for air guns? If so, I have an Anshutz I'd like to put it on.
@airgunsandstuffyorkshire2696 жыл бұрын
lrac rellim they are rated for firearms but the company that sells them in the UK is the same that makes my air rifle. I would say they suit the air rifle due to the fact most of the focus range is less than 100 yards. It works very well on my air rifle.
@hunter100t6 жыл бұрын
Good review bud, its a nice scope for sure, are they still made by Optisan for MTC or somebody else, I use the original Viper and its recently moved on to my Bantam, very crisp optics, and that's why I ask. atb phil

I may have missed it what is the close focus for airgun use and is it ffp or 2fp ? At 11;00 in the video , Even with the scope mounted range finder you still need to set the parallax to make sure the cross hairs don't shift when your aiming . The side parallax is not just for ranging its to make sure you are don't have movement in the cross hairs . kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Z7yAesainq-6qJc.html another onekzfaq.info/get/bejne/mKt7p5CTxtbKe2g.html. So don't just think you are going to check the range finder you added on and then just adjust the dial on the turret or you are going to miss the target if you don't also adjust the parallax .
@airgunsandstuffyorkshire2695 жыл бұрын
8 yards to infinity. I'm not sure what u are talking about, the focus wheel is the parallax. When both target and crosshair are perfect that's the range of the target.............
@Sertao20135 жыл бұрын
The cross hairs are always going to be in focus the parallax has nothing to do with the sharpness of crosshairs . watch the videos I put a link to . If the parallax is not set correctly the crosshair will appear to move or shift as you move your head . At 11: min in your video you said( Better yet if you use a scope mount rangefinder that I will be purchasing and reviewing quite soon . Press the button it says 50 to turn this to 50 boom its on target ) What I'm telling you is you don't just go from the range finder button to the turret and then boom . You still have to set the parallax before you go boom or you will miss the target . In the video you should have went from getting the range from the rangefinder to the turret and then back to the parallax set the parallax then go boom .Your giving people the idea that if you have a mounted rangefinder that you don't need to still set the parallax .

I take it u never shot HFT then
@Sertao20135 жыл бұрын
Yes I have . Your scope lens that are in front of the cross hairs is what goes in and out of focus not the cross hairs . Your cross hair focus is adjusted on the back of the scope next to your eye once you set the sharpness of the cross hairs to your eye sight it never changes . Just look into your scope and turn the parallax wheel you will see no matter what distance its set at it will never change the sharpness of the cross hair . Trust me on this . Better yet don't trust me and just try it .I have a 5 inch wheel on my FT gun I know what I'm talking about . I know all about parallax and how to use it .If you think your crosshair are going in and out of focus because you are adjusting the parallax wheel you are badly mistaken .
