Mahabaleshwar is beautiful, there couldn't be a better place to chill with your family and friends. But they charge really very extra for everything if you are a tourist! For example a chocolate with MRP ₹5 will be sold at ₹10 to you! Especially travelling is extremely extremely expensive, doesn't matter if you travel just for 1km in taxi, they will charge you ₹300 minimum! So if you dont have a car of your own, you are about to loose grip of your pocket! But it's a must visit place, I visited and the experience was wonderful!

Yes bro its true...but you can save your money half of the points you can cover by using..local buses. ( private taxi have time limitaions for ride ) Maprogarden ,tableland ,parsipoint ,sydney point ,vena lake , mahableshwsr market , prtapghad fort ..you can cover in one day by using local MSRCT bus & to cover remaing you have to take taxi.. Actually Rooms,hotles are availble in cheap rates if you book directly wihout help of 3rd party like MMT , OYO ,trivago b'coz they have commision.
