Seth says that All Will Be One with battles is no different as with planeswalkers as he takes 10 damage to the face from a 2 mana battle dropping 😂. That was perfect timing

One completely unique thing I love about early access that opponents tend to not scoop because they’re mostly content creators and understand people want to see the game finish out. That never happens in regular ladder play. People scoop 100% before your deck gets to do it’s fun win con.

Not sure if it’s common knowledge but whoever does the art for these thumbnails deserves all the raises.

The ruling about copies is legitimately confusing. But put simply, if a creature CARD becomes a copy of another creature card, you only ever copy the front side. The backside is never copied. So when Sheoldred turns into a sprout, it copies the sprout transform ability, when the conditions are met, the sheoldred who identifies as a sprout will "Transform" but because it's a copy it can't ever flip, there is no other side but it's still considered "Transformed". So when you unequip the blade Sheoldred comes back already transformed. Things like this were already possible before the rules change. The rules change made it so token copies can now Transform. For example if you exile a creature with transform with the Scarab God or God Pharaoh's Gift, that token copy actually has a back side now and can transform. This is all because of the new incubator tokens that forced this rule change, since they're tokens that transform which isn't supposed to be possible.

I think the audio is a little wonky? It seems shifted earlier by about 5 minutes. And the video cuts out in the middle of a match. Edit: It's been fixed now, yay!

My idea on what battles are supposed to be is that the "defense counters" represent some dudes sieging the thing you have summoned, and when you kill them (successfully "defending" whatever it was they were attacking), the thing is freed up to come help you. That's my two cents.

Seth, The Blade equipment Coppies the Sprout front face only. Then transformation happens in programing its a Flag, this card is now "Transformed" but since the copy only got the front face, its not able to flip. Until you unequip. When you un-equip, you replace the card on the battlefield but its got a transform flag now so its now a Saga.... Its pretty simple...

With Urabrask the key should be not to play bad cards to flip it. Play burn spells and actual card draw, not cantrips (they don't do anything).

just gotta say that invasion of ikoria could just be for the backside since you can fail to find on the search and cast it for 2 mana

If we’re actually looking to brew around the weird Blade of Selves making praetors copy of other transforming things wouldn’t it be better to just use the ones with the simplest flip condition like the MOM transforming phyrexians?

I've been playing a super low curve standard prowess aggro deck for a bit now (including 4 of Ledger Shredder) and I've had decent success with it in BO3. I'd say like 16-19 creatures, 21-22 lands, and the rest noncreature spells (or instant/sorcery if you're playing fake prowess stuff like Balmor, Urabrask, Electrostatic Infantry, etc) is the right number. I'd definitely be running less burn than the deck in the video did, and way more card selection/draw (currently have 4 Ancestral Anger, 4 Consider, 4 Impulse, and 2 Reckless Impulse). I run Lier in the sideboard for control matchups because I really need all the card advantage and I don't really run counters in the sideboard because they don't work well with the plan of playing your instants and sorceries during your turn to pump stuff. I run 2 disdainful stroke for Sheoldred/Invoke Despair/the rare but devastating Phyrexian Obliterator, but otherwise no counters

Seth, seriously, the idea with the sword and Sheoldred is the worst NOMBO in the entire history of magic.... 200 years to make it work in a regular game, extremely fragile, being much easier to just pay the cost to transform the praetors and done! That's it: just pay the cost and be happy! LMAO

This whole conversation about what to play with battles is driving me crazy... Its Vehicles... Obviously... Low mana Cost Small Crew cost Flying Vehicles = Battle Flipping machine... Even Bankbuster would flip the battle for you 90% of the time... Turn 1 Skrelv, Turn 2 Bankbuster, Turn 3 Grave Robber/any 3 power card, Turn 4 battle flip with BBuster.... Rinse Repeat... Imagine Getway car thats a 3 mana Hasted crew 1 4 power vehicle that flips battles... High Speed Hover bike... Mysterious Limo removes a creature and attacks for 4... Mindlink Mech becomes a copy of a creature that piloted it... Unlicensed Herse etc etc etc...
