Hey! It’s the windgrace player. It is a tax/group slug deck. It performed very bad that game. I had to mull down to 6 and I wasn’t happy with that hand either. The follow up game I actually won with an extremely large torment of hailfire. Had a very fun time and everyone there was super nice.

Either he didn't care because recasting Vial Smasher wouldn't help him in that scenario, or he didn't know that Vial Smasher would return to the field regardless of the zone she was sent to once the Angel of Sanctions left.

Did you forget the Emeria Shepherd trigger from the rogue's passage that entered due to the Ulvenwald Hydra? And then from the forest next turn? Non-plains lands still allow you to return things to your hand, which you use later in turn 11, so.... what happened?

Near the very end I think you were using the emeria Shepard trigger twice? Panharmonicon says if a creature or artifact entering would trigger an etb of a permanent you control you get it twice. So it doesn't work with landfall.

7:30 why Day of Judgment and not Wrath of God? I realize that there are very few things that use the keyword "regenerate" anymore, but it's still free upside for the same mana cost. Or, for one more mana, any number of much better wrath-like spells (Tragic Arrogance, Rout, Hallowed Burial, Cleansing Nova)

Vampiric Link was cool, but auras on creatures always come with that nasty drawback of removal spells becoming 2 for 1s... I'd probably use an equipment (Basilisk Collar, Loxodon Warhammer) or something like Whip of Erebos instead.

Yeah... it also occurred to me that Vampiric Link can be attached to the opponents' creatures and gain life from their damage, something that lifelink effects can't.

Originally Exquisite Blood was in the slot Vampiric Link is now in, the blood put too big of a target on me. Basilisk Collar is not in the deck but it is absolutely a good idea, I'm glad you mentioned it!

I completely forgot about Exquisite Blood... yeah, that card would definitely make people go after you, under the asssumption that you may have Sanguine Bond and other cards that hurts life totals when you gain life, which create an infinite lifedrain loop when combined with Exquisite Blood.

I feel like you could have used a lot of the Emeria Shepherd triggers earlier when you were getting lands with the Hydra but you still won so I guess it doesn’t matter.

You oughta come to Highlander Games in Boonton Nj. Bit of a drive but we've got a really big commander group on Fridays and pretty much everyone has a deck collection ranging from cEDH to super casual budget jank. You'd love it!

@@MTGMuddstah there's usually a group playing commander nearly every night the store is open, I think there's a decent turn out on Saturdays but I personally don't go often on the weekends cause of my work schedule! I could always ask around and see who goes Saturdays though

It's taken me a while to crawl out of my OCD cave, but what order do you show the cards on screen? To me it seems random, I'm assuming it's the order that they were drawn in, but in future is it possible to put it in card type (so grouping lands, instants etc.) Obviously you don't have to, just curious is all! Keep up the good work!

I think he is talking about opening hand. I'd prefer grouping by CMC rather than card type, which would still end uphaving lands grouped together. Not necessary at all, but it would be nice.

I'll think about adding it. A lot of the videos coming out in the next few weeks were made a while back, so it'll probably be in the New Year before I start testing it out / remembering to do it.

It's not a big deal, but it'd be a nice touch. Let's people process the opening hands easier. I know all the editing on these videos is a lot of work and I appreciate it. It's why your channel has quickly become my favorite for EDH.

Yeah I was talking about the opening hand, but I do agree with Name Name, I know how much bother goes into editing your videos and I wouldn't want to make them unduly harder! But thanks for taking my comment into consideration, it means a lot! By the way, I do adore your videos, they definitely scratch my EDH itch since I don't really get to play often even with my 15-16 commander decks!

@@MTGMuddstah I noticed that there's a good bit of other angel's in the deck, so the added anthem and lifelink will be a small benefit. There's also the fact that shes a solid body with good combat potential, makes her a good threat

I don't think Lyra would be very good in this Trostani deck. The core of the deck seems to be turning big, value creatures into tokens with cards like seance or mimic vat, then populating them to get many. Lyra is a big creature, but her legendaryness means that the only way for the deck to make multiple copies of her is with Helm of the host. Because of this, many other large creatures would be better than Lyra. While there are quite a few angels in this deck, I don't think it's enough to justify her inclusion. She would probably be pretty good in a more angel-centric Trostani deck.

I would love to bring my Jalira (Master Polymorphist), Squee (the Immortal), Odric (Master Tactician), Drana (Kalastria Bloodchief), Yuriko (the Tiger's Shadow), Rakdos (Lord of Riots), Triad of Fates (or Kambal, Consul of Allocation), Grand Warlord Radha, Shattergang Brothers, Shu Yun (the Silent Tempest), and Nekusar (the Mindrazer) EDH decks to New Jersey or Montreal. Of course, I'm probably going to have 2 or 3 more decks built by then. I'm currently working on my Licia (Sanguine Tribune), Rubinia Soulsinger, and Hallar (the Firefletcher) EDH decks. I've been considering Slimefoot (the Stowaway) for another build.

Why has Ryan decided to hose himself with stax and ramp by mana rocks in a Lord Windgrace deck (that pushes himself towards land-based ramp)? He payed 3 mana on Mana Crypt because of his own Trinisphere!

Eliakim Rodrigues the only four mana rocks in the deck are Mox Diamond/mana crypt/sol ring/ chrome mox. I put these cards in almost every deck regardless of archetype.
