I normally agree, but by the point Beast Within was cast, Fred hadn't really done anything with it yet, plus Nyxbloom Ancient is as scary, if not scarrier than Citadel.

Also: 800.4d, when the Xanathar deck used Arcane Denial, then died that same turn, the delayed trigger was controlled by Xanathar, and would not trigger after they lose the game, btw. Fred would not have drawn 2 cards from the Arcane Denial.

man micah really let fred run away with the game cant believe the xanathar player wasnt targeting the fucker with Bolas every turn, like cmon guys nyxbloom is bad but a field full of life gain and a card that says 'you lose' is worse

I was expecting another "what is happening on the Faldorn side of the table" game, but as it turns out, removing Faldorn is a great way to avoid getting run over by Faldorn.

I know people aren't fans of too much removal and control, but watching one person completely run away with the game cause they were able to keep 1 card they didn't protect on the table for too long is frustrating as heck.

The Oloro deck is playing with more efficient and synergistic cards in the first few turns then the rest of the table. I'm surprised he didn't get focused down immediately.

Personal bias, but I normally root for whoever has more matching/manicured mana base, and/or whoever's playing Orzhov (or BWx), so seeing excellent plays AND stylish shows from each Oloro and Myrkul was a delight

where can I find games where combo pieces like citadel go unchecked for the whole game? im tryna get in those bc anything remotely close to that is always countered, destroyed or the player who played it dies fast. crazy that didnt happen here.

Do you notice a difference in video performance from the games that you don't post decklists? Personally I am not interested in the gameplay if I can't atleast check the deck and see if its a garbage build or not.

Not to criticize Micah’s Faldorn deck, but I have built Faldorn myself. Looked over the deck list and I was pretty surprised by some of the cards included. I’m not a fan of wand of wander at all, and I thought this game was a great example why. Too easy to hit instants or sorceries that just don’t help you in the moment, and doesn’t help you develop your board, which is essential for Faldornto do

Pretty sure it comes in the draft box of battle for Baulders Gate. You can probably find them online for super cheap.

Fairly interesting game. Would have been much better if all 4 decks were on par strength wise. Oloro is definitely another tier. And the threat assessment of the board, not to completely hose that player having Bolas Citadel down is horrible. ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

I swear, removal is used very poorly in every one of these I watch. an unprotected Myrkul was untapped with. An unprotected Xanathar was untapped with, twice. A bolas' citadel survived 10 rounds of removal? What the hell guys. Your removal prioritization is very very poor.

Never play online then, they are probably legitimately above average when it comes to this. Keep in mind, commander is also a casual format. Often times people are not sweating to make every optimal decision, just cutting up and having fun with friends and may even do things to make the game more fun (probably not the case here)

i will never understand people who feel the need to attempt to correct the players when they watch gameplay of anything. how does this affect your life.
