Something tells me that the Scarab God deck was probably a Nekusar deck one day, but Nekusar was drawing (no pun intended) so much hate that Shaun changed it for the sake of going under the radar in his games. :P

You life total can't change while under Teferi's Protection, so Roxie should not have lost two to the Glint-Horn Buccaneer triggers

Shaun couldve just as easily swapped Scarab God for Sygg Rivercutthroat. It was looking very similar to the Sygg 8-rack deck that one of the guys on Spike Feeders made.

The sword of the animist shouldn’t have been able to be cast off of the sunbirds because it isn’t an instant and it was Shaun’s turn right? Just wondering

Going by the starting hands, Roxie's Alesha deck will probably win, since it starts with combo piece (viscera seer). RWBY? I hadn't recognized the playmat last time, but now I know, mostly because of picking up BlazblueCrossTagBattle. Surprisingly, Roxie's combo didn't win the game, mostly because it had been telegraphed a turn in advance and because you had all drawn so many cards.

Can someone explain when timing restrictions are applied? As I thought sunbirds invocations cast still had timing restrictions.

When a card allows you to cast another spell, it will state if it ignores timing restrictions in the oracle text. For Sunbird's its: "If you cast one of the revealed cards, you do so as part of the resolution of the triggered ability. You can’t wait to cast it later in the turn. Timing permissions based on the card’s type are ignored, but other restrictions (such as “Cast [this card] only during combat”) are not."

If an effect says that you may cast something for some duration, such as until end of turn, it doesn't change timing restrictions unless it also specifies that it does. If it just says that you may (or must) cast something, it means immediately, while the spell or ability is resolving. This overrides timing restrictions due to card type, but not timing restrictions specified by the spell's text.

Maybe if Shaun used Jace's +2 ability instead of the -1, he would've won the game. That is unless the card he drew was the Underworld Dreams. So... yeah

Yes, tef protection only stops interaction with your permanents and your life total cant change

Okay nice video but you need to make one change to all of your videos. When you put a card up in the center of the screen for us to read it stop making it small within like 2 seconds. The card should not be minimizing to the center of the screen where it's completely unreadable until another card is cast at the very soonest. I for one certainly cannot read those cards that quickly and once they're minimized to the middle of the screen it's completely illegible. This is a very very serious problem in your videos. Honestly it makes them all but unwatchable because you can't keep up with what the hell is going on. They are otherwise very well made videos but this issue is a huge one.
