Slavs is not an ethnisity but the people who share the word of God. (Slovo=the word=logos) We created exactly for that purposse Cyrilic alphabet which can resonate with the holyscriptures, and we went arround sharing the, orthodox faith, litterature, alphabet and obviously the bulgarian language (prototype of all slavic languages). So yes we are Slavs and you can't get more slavic than this, but if you want to know what genetics and origin we have as all scientific data from DNA tests and old hystorical evidence proove we are Tracians the oldest europians.
