No matter what awards Kathy won, concert halls she filled, she never forgot she is a simple West Virginia gal. No one sings " Ready for the Storm " like she does! She says she dont have the voice she once had, the one she got now is just fine to my ears!

Kathy had one of the most perfect voices ever!! Been listening to her since 1987. Regardless of age she has learned to adapt to voice. Truly one of the Most precious Angels to ever lift a note. Love and thanks 🤠🙏🎶🔥

Gotta say...I've loved Kathy Mattea's music from the beginning. The message this song sends is beautiful, but Ignorance will not be bliss for future generations.

Was just talking with an old friend in BC last evening and we agreed, about 6% of human race in our lives is still kind, good, self-less and giving..."good people" like the day they were born. Finding them is hard, and we don't go looking, but how then do we help those 90% or more folks turn back round into the way they came into this world.
