I ran this using the Trust system and during that 1st boss Thancred just kept standing in those puddles. So I thought, "Okay, I guess I should too then." Thanks Thancred.

Lately, when I've been using the Trust here as BLM, Urianger can't seem to keep us healed when I "trust" him better than Alphinaud.

@@Ziivokun I tried that system and it seems if you pull anything more than just one pack which is like 3 mobs you just wipe because they can't keep up... A dungeon takes like 40 minutes when you use trust system lol

@@kiiturii yeah for some reason the trust DPSes don't do a lot of AOEs. I'm not sure why. Took me a few tries before I realized there was no point in pulling more than one mob

I played this using the Trust system for my first time through a few hours ago. If you bring Minfilia along and the last boss does his "tightrope" mechanic, she says she's too scared to cross, gets convinced by Thancred, tries to cross very slowly with her arms out for balance, then decides to quit and stop halfway through. It was an adorable moment and it was then I decided to do all available dungeons with the gang just to see if there are any more of those moments. "Hard mode" be damned 😆 PS: I watched the entire thing happen and was too distracted to DPS so I did end up seeing the last boss frog himself. It was a funny end to a really well done dungeon.

I tanked this one with Min and no Thancred. In this case she scoffs and says, "C'mon! You know this is just an illusion!" and makes her way across the path beating you across. :D

Fun fact, if you let him use that transform skill a couple times, he goofs and turns himself into a little tiny toad with no abilities.

If anyone is wondering, no, you can not use your special powers as a Dragoon to jump over the gap.

You should've mentioned that tanks need to Interrupt the frog mobs during early trash pulls, as they'll cast a spell that buffs surrounding enemies and are immune to Stun. I've seen so many tanks without Interject on their bars complain about the buffed mobs melting them.

Oh damn, thanks! Didn't realize you could interrupt that, it made everything a lot more painful. I should really get more used to Interject. I'm trying to use it, but often it just doesn't really occur to me.

@@goblinrat6119 There are also mobs in the Twinning that will buff themselves and require Interject to stop them

Interject becomes quite important in Shadowbringers. As a healer and a tank, I recommend keeping interject for sure. Spread the word!

This is exactly why I always keep a finger ready to press interject. Like for real, I could never imagine not having that ability ready. I even saw a lot of DPS that apparently aren't aware they have a stun.

He will actually cast another phantasia later in the fight if your DPS is too slow. He actually fails this cast and turns himself into a little frog by accident. You have to be very slow to see it but it's kind of funny. I think he needs to be at a certain percent too.

My DPS were so bad, we barely finished the dungeon in time and saw the frog transformation. They thought they were rockin DPS. smh

I know I'm late to the party but I have used your guides so many times and recommended them to other newbies in my FC, I had to sub. Such a well structured no-nonsense and clear way to explain mechanics, a must watch for every new player.

Found out the hard way during the Ponambulist's Fantasia that, while a ranged dps can hit the barrier, it does zero damage...also that if the tank decides to pull a scorpion and attempt to yank you across the gorge, you fall short. Short of my own mistakes, GREAT GUIDE!!

Me too. I’m a newbie healer and have anxiety facing a new dungeon as a healer. The reason I watch her guides is that I’m new, I’m playing healer, I don’t know mechanics, and if I die, the party dies. For me, it’s best to watch tutorials to be prepared rather than wipe a party full of people that have done this so many times and assume everyone should know the dungeon because it’s 4 years old. Plus, other people have played this game for over 10,000+ hours so they have probably ran this numerous times. I’ve come across many people, mostly vets, who are impatient to newbies who get party wipes becuz it’s their first time. It’s like come on, I’m sure you wiped when you played this 4 years ago when this was new and when EVERYBODY was learning mechanics at launch.

@Slasherx28 I do the same as you, but as a DPS (Bard) I HATE screwing up in front of other people 😂 sometimes it just can't be helped, no matter how hard I try. I'm about 2 months in and haven't even scratched the surface of this wonderful game. I love these guides so much ❤️

That second boss Griaule can become extremely frustrating with trusts due to one of the trusts repeatedly intercepting your tether at the last milli-second. I've genuinely seen them run from another tether to mine right at the last moment. Thus giving the boss 2 stacks instead of 1.

I had the same damn problem basically if I saw the fodder even begin to start just drop everything you're doing and focus on it entirely and go to a lone tether ASAP because god forbid you miss the small window ONE TIME and wipe because of it.

Also if you made it over to the Boss you can't cheese it for another player with rescue either. Learned that the hard way. If that DNC reads this: I am still sorry.

True. 2 years later, and I hated my first time in this dungeon when I did it like a month ago... The frustration was real, and in the end I just decided to queue up and let myself get carried through the first boss. The other bosses were child's play, but I'll learn the first boss one day...

I genuinely think you're the most underrated FFXIV channel. I just love that you don't fill your videos with too much bullshit and give just what is needed without going on for 10 min just to pad a clock. Thank you so much. Whenever I need to watch a video on a new raid or fight I just come here because I know it won't be two mins explaining one mechanic.

Doing this dungeon in a Trust sucks when you have an AI healer, they refuse to do the Fodder mechanic in the second boss, so I wiped three times and wasted nearly fourty minutes the whole dungeon wondering why I couldn't get passed it.........

I kept getting messed up by Landsblood in my handful of runs. Decided eh, I'll figure out how it works when Mizzteq does her guides. Of course it's a delayed visual indicator. *facepalm*

If you're struggling with it, keeep an eye on the first ones that appear. Then, once that set explodes, move to where it was. Places that just exploded are safe for a least a few more AoEs, so move into the geysers you see explode for the easiest time.
