Was watching MTV's first day of broadcasting when this happened. Pretty interesting.

It was their first broadcast so I'm not really that surprised that a mistake happened over there

Danny LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence were so excited to hear Speedwagon, they broke the TV!

MTV was not originally equipped for live broadcasting. The VJ links were bulk taped at a studio in Manhattan, and then those tapes had to be driven to an uplink facility on Long Island where they would be integrated with the music videos and commercials.
