I know I'm late haha but he really has social anxiety. You can watch other interviews with him from a few years ago (especially 2009) and you can see that he was talking more and that he was happier.

Kim Dickens saying "we feel like we've found our groove with our characters and with our show..." makes me even more frustrated that they killed her off. S3 was great, S4 could've been really magnificent if they hadn't killed off Nick and Madison to bring Morgan over. (I know that Frank Dillane wanted out, but at least having Madison and Alicia as the last 2 Clarks standing would've been much better than what we got instead)

John Young It's a completely separate storyline from TWD. No connection at all. It's not a spinoff and has no character from TWD at all. It just takes place in the same universe. FTWD takes place before TWD. . You can absolutely watch FTWD without watching TWD.
