Sevnica is a small Slovenian town. But it has its own eccentric, interesting group of salami makers and salami enthusiasts. Their long tradition of salami making is an ethnological peculiarity in Slovenia as well as worldwide. The distinctive feature if the salami festival- Salamiada is that it always occurs on the Forty Martyrs' Day in march.
Documentary film "Martyrs comfort" talks about them, salami makers, who just two years ago celebrated their 50th Anniversary. The film presents a brief history of Sevnica and reveals an interesting testimony of members of the association of salami makers. They are unicum. Only men, big sausage, Cviček (the red wine typical for Sevnica region)) and good vibrations. This film presents also Sevnica salami makers friends from other salami countries: Croatia, Hungary, Slovakia and Serbia. For all who want bread and old-style salami!
