Aww you are so sweet! Thank you Nicole :) I love vlogging because of how raw and real it is. I of course can't get everything I do on camera, but I try to even film the worst of my days too since life isn't perfect. I hope you have a great new year as well!

Thank you so much! Yes, this job is no joke sometimes haha at least we don't have to work all day though. Normally the jobs end between 1-2pm on average. I'm glad you enjoyed the vlog!

Hi Julie! I was out of town for the past week and missed your videos. It was nice seeing you and your happy pups again. I enjoy your vlogs!. Your clients always look so pretty when you make them up. The bride's dress was so pretty. I LOL'd when you said: I don't know how ppl trust you to do their makeup; your lash was stuck on your eyelid. These women all are so stunning, before and after! The bride was so beautiful in her hair, makeup and dress. Loved the way everything turned out! You'll get there! I've been at this for 5 years and had to adapt along the way :) It's all time and learning. With larger bridal parties over 7 people I do scramble a lot!

@@julieruby I've picked up a lot of tips and tricks from you recently. I bought a bunch of stuff to downsize my kit, like the tackle boxes to store my lashes and disposables. I was just carrying them in their original packaging. Same with my foundation bottles. You are a well of knowledge. Lol Seriously, though, thank you for all of your help. I'm really grateful. (And so is my back😂)

Hey, Julie! Great video as always! I want to ask you something: how do you prevent the makeup from looking washed out in pictures? Sometimes I feel that pictures do not make justice to my makeup. Thank you in advance!

Hi Annina! Thank you so much :) Sometimes if you use a foundation that has an SPF of 15 or higher, it will cause flashback in photos that gives a white cast. Powders can sometimes do this as well if they are Talc based so I would check your product ingredients. Of course this could also be do to an incorrect foundation match as well or not using enough bronzer, but if it's just in photos then it is probably the first things I mentioned :)

I alway had a fear of forgetting to pack my brushes, so now I keep a spare makeup belt with brushes in my truck as a safety.

Hi! I made a video on this a few years back, however, i sell bridal contracts and other templates on shopjulieruby.com so I won’t probably make an updated one because of this. Check those out though! They are pre-filled templates that take the guess work out of wording and completely customized. Plus, I made them pretty affordable at only $40 :)

Hey! If you want to be a makeup artist go for it!! My mom never thought it was realistic for me either and I even went to college first. I found out that I really had a passion for makeup and quit my career to do what I love :)
