When I go deer hunting in the Victorian State Forest in Australia, I like to carry essential equipment in my TAS (TACTICAL ASSAULT SYSTEMS) PALS chest harness. I attach several MOLLE-compatible pouches to the PALS webbings. However, it is cumbersome to wear, & is not comfortable when also carrying a backpack. So I recently bought a HELIKON-TEX NUMBAT chest pack to replace the TAS PALS chest harness.
Even if you do not go hunting, but if you do go hiking & camping, you may find the HELIKON-TEX NUMBAT chest pack useful to wear to keep critical items on your body - separate from a backpack. When you are at your campsite you will want certain items (like fire-starter, cigarette-lighter, insect-repellent, medications, multi-function tool, torchlight, etc) on your body in a chest pack - without the inconvenience of having to get to your backpack.
Join me in this video as I show you what hunting equipment I carry, & how I repack the items from the TAS PALS chest harness, into the HELIKON-TEXT NUMBAT chest pack. I am sure I will like the NUMBAT chest pack a lot when I start using it on my hunting & camping trips.
