Well I for one have always watched your content because it’s very honest and educational. One to one camera interact is imperative as the viewers need to get to know the person who’s sharing there lives with them, your a master of that. You give me that tip some months ago which I heeded and it worked. This Video was very enjoyable 👍

the thing that makes your channel interesting is your family and tree team, how different people help out and like or not like it. very few other channels show their family and the impact of the farm on the family

I think where your channel strives for me is in your knowledge, for example some of my favourite videos of Tom’s are his old man chatting about drainage, grass what ever it may be. Some of my favourite videos of yours are you chatting about trees, things your passionate about. You may not get the views of the boys with the big shiny kit but we all appreciate your honesty and knowledge!

For me it doesn't matter if you're infront or behind the camera, your content is varied and interesting and most importantly honest. We see things as they are, the yard ankle deep in slurry and water and your machinery is cared for but some of it has seen better days. You might fetch in a contractor to do the odd job but most of the time you get in there and do it yourself and you're not afraid of getting your hands dirty. The posers on here can keep their shiny new john deere, their polished boots and new wax cotton jackets, I'd rather see a working farm any day. Change nothing sir, you're doing great as you are.👍

Hi Ian. Carry on making video's the same way your doing they're great, you were talking about the poo from your cow's just make a pit out of your newest wood chip and put all your muck in and though the winter the liquid will drain away leaving the solids which you can mix all together in the spring to put on your land.

Farmer P, I reckon that generally your videos have a good mix of content. Like hearing your views and thoughts, watching projects like the new barn build and generally following the ups and downs of your daily life. Like the use of the drone too, as it gives a different perspective. In fact yours is the only farming channel that I do follow for all those reasons. Keep up the good work 🤓

Personally I prefer the videos like this one where you're out doing something and talking at the same time, rather than sat at the table or desk etc. I also enjoy the more instructional videos where you explain your way of doing something, i.e. the fencing one from a year or so ago that I watched again the other day as I'm about to do a bit myself - helpful to a beginner!

Hey P, firstly I appreciate the time and effort you put in to the vids, chit chat, banter and face to face is the best , I'm personally not a fan of music overlays but having said that I can always turn the volume down .Also I believe I'm not quite as busy as you and I've also never made or edited a video. To me channels I enjoy most are the ones that tell me whats going on (in the past present and future) and then show you those things happening, it makes one feel more apart of what I'm watching .In the case of your channel I am interested in the future of Farmer P and his family and the dogs , sheep , cows , ducks n chooks , farm and the tree guys. So to end my banter ,You keep making videos and I'll keep watching.

Good afternoon Farmer P. I firmly believe you should should not change and continue showing us the good and sometimes bad of farming along with your detailed and interesting explanations of many things both on and off camera. It is also very enjoyable to see some or all of your family on the occasions you can convince them, or sometimes sneakily, feature them in your videos, and also to catch up with your tree team from time to time.. I watch many farming videos from all over the world but have to admit yours is the only one I make every effort to watch as soon as a notification appears. In general I like the content you provide. It is very entertaining and I love your standards. It's a little insight into your life in South Gloucestershire and though I am a Yorkshire man living in Northern Ireland. I have visited Gloucestershire a few times and appreciate the place. Love the warmth and natural banter of your family. I think perhaps viewing figures might be reflecting the fact that people have returned to work plus perhaps watching more soaps and evening tv. I like your channel and as a former farm worker in the 70s love the variety of your working life which initially attracted me to farmer all those years ago and holds my interest so please keep up the content and don't change anything 🤙

Hi Ian, I think your video's are funny, entertaining and they explain what and why you're doing what you are. It's better to see a presenter then hear voice overs. I watch a lot of farming videos, (being an ex farmer) like you, funky farmer, Hay TV, Tom Pembleton, Four Winds Farm, It's a Farmers life for me to make a few and fishing videos as I love fishing especially sea fishing, Fish Locker (really worthy of a watch, John's a great presenter and so knowledgeable), The Totally Awesome fishing show, Smash fishing, who makes he's living from KZfaq. Another one worth a note and look is Fixed Afloat, it's about living on a sidebar narrow boat but so entertaining. What I'm trying to say is keep on what your doing Ian, you're witty and fun and surprised your not getting much more likes. Thank you for your knowledge, fun and laughter and of course the loveable Biskett.

Keep doing what you're doing. For me, it's the chat whilst working, talking about you're plans the history of the farm and family and the interaction with your family and employees. That's why I like the call mount as it allows you to get on and for us/me to see that you're doing at the same time. I like the mix of done and static camera too. I would like to see more of the tree side too as that's fascinating to me but I know you're not with the guys very much. You're right about other channels that talk bring the ones that grow so long as their chat is worthwhile. There's one fairly new channel with brothers on a cattle, potato and arable farm that chat but really don't say anything. Doesn't do it for me but they may get better.

Hi Ian , I think it depends on the type of viewers , many come from farms and want to see how you do things , and see what’s out there to improve on , you know so many choices with machinery and other farm related projects , farmers want to make informed choices when they purchase as its generally a large investment compared to the returns so youtube is a good place to start researching , they other side of the coin is non farming viewers who enjoy the outdoors and would enjoy watching how the other side live,,, striking a balance is the key , for me i would like to see less repetitive stuff , i do enjoy listening to you you have a good voice for that , biscuit is great everyone likes dogs , from what i see on your channel you are very honest and it is as it is,, no frills and honest portrayal of the majority of farms in UK and Ireland , i get sick of looking at the big farmers promoting the very expensive machinery which gets further from the reach of the average farmers , contractors and machinery dealers are pushing the price beyond ordinary farmers price range , i begin to wonder is this deliberate , anyway enjoy your videos best wishes for the future,, :-)

I try to keep up with your videos and Tom Pembertons and then dip in and out of the others if the video looks interesting like Nicks farms new plough. I think the interaction between Tom and his father and Nick and his is always good just like you and your family. I would love to be able to make some content myself as we farm alittle differently to others but with our broadband even a 5 minute video takes hours to upload.

I love England but never Been there , You give a very personal , practical view . You gave us a history trip with bisquit , It was to that old monument , wonderful hike view and history .Good teaching . You have given me a appreciation for cattle . You like sheep we know, you kept #11 safe .and you have taught us a little about them . Please fill us in why you bought hartwig or is it herdwigs , those northern sheep from the lake district . I looked them up because of you .And sharing your family and all the Dogg's ,farts and all . But the drone footage of the country side wow . And I just watch you and your tree crew take down a big old tree I think in 2018 and you showed how and why it had to come down .what else can I say .keep up the work and knowledge . A big thanks to you and all . The cows like the sun , I would prefer to be in the sun too . In Utah . Also I like when you go in fast motion , it's comical..

Thank you Nancy, we are very lucky to live where we are, I regularly thank the maker for putting me here and giving me the chance to look after this little bit of England. We have a fair bit of local history about here which I will share with you folks as I get around to it. 🙂👍

Keep doing what you are doing. Your channel is a good mix of work and talk. I don't farm but I enjoy watching you on your farm. I spent some time in GB. in the early seventies on a 26 ft. sail boat and I don't think that there are any finer people then the English. Don't change nothing.

You obviously met the right ones Dennis. 😄 There are one or two Englishmen I wouldn’t give the time of day to... But then I suspect the same goes for every nation. Glad to have you along with us sir. 🙂👍

I subscribed to this channel because I wanted to watch the weekly/monthly goings on of a farmer and his family. The content you have going on right now is perfect in my opinion because you have it showing the physical workings of a farm combined with 'facetime' chats about what is going on that day or what has been going on or when your explaining about some farm machinery. The channel has huge variety in content available to you, with the tree team, your children (when they want to), your wife (when she wants to). The things you got going on now with the septic tank and the issues with draining the water from the yard and how to accomplice it . That is what I come here to see. For me personally, having more facetime will ruin the experience for me because that is not what I subscribed to the channel for. Well you did ask for subscribers opinions :)

I am happy with things the way they are, but thought I would ask the opinions of you guys 🙂👍 It appears most agree with me, it’s not broke, so I won’t try to fix it.🙂🙂👍

I think, and it's a personal thing I know. It's a balance. I watch different farmers and enjoy them for different reasons. For example, you have a very laid back style, it's interesting to hear you tell us what you are thinking, the tree stuff, messing about with your family etc and you make me laugh! The other extreme I suppose would be Millennial farmer, shiny machines, massive arable farm, different country. Still entertaining but for different reasons. The point I am trying to make is it's farming I am fascinated by (as a non farmer) I want to see where my food comes from and have learned alot. I like listening to you but, I also realise scraping up poo is part of farming so if that stuff was left out would it be real? I don't know. I reckon you have it about right. Keep it up, love it!

I agree with the others that have posted so far, I enjoy your current mix of content, no need to change anything to keep my interest. And while I'm here, I was so relieved for you when the TB test came back negative! I found I got very tense about the final check! Keep going as you are, Ian, you already have a winning formula.

Me personally I like the content when your talking to the camera but thats mainly because I've worked in arable for years and got bored of all the machinery stuff, I am now new to livestock keeping pedigree suffolks and find your channel helps me learn new things I didn't no. Me and father talk about your channel the most and he's a retired farmer and watches a lot of the farming channels on KZfaq. Keep up the hard work.

I like the balance as it is, all the kit you have you use, it may not be new and shiney but it earns it's keep. This is a working farm unlike some which seem to be shop windows for new kit every week. You also do an excellent job of explaining what you are doing and why. Add the extras into the mix, both canine and human, on a regular basis and you have a winning formula. Did I just sit and watch someone mucking out a yard for 30 min. :-)

I watch to see your daily life. so whatever work you do, moving animals or shit or hedges or grass or anything else. Interaction between you and animals or you and family. Using whatever machinery is needed for the job in hand. I like your chatter/explanations/info etc. The only bits I find a bit boring is when you put music on but I understand the need to cover the fast-forward sections. I'm also interested to see and understand your tree work. I even enjoy seeing the 'Pullen snowplough' work :) You brighten my day!! I'm old and retired and haven't left my little bungalow since first lockdown started. You get me out and about in ways I can't do. :) p.s. the only farmer/youtubers I get fed up with are those that get a bit big for their boots. Your natural relaxed style is perfect :D

There are one or two farming channels, and a few others as well that I had to unsubscribe from Lesley, they became far too self centred around the presenter showing off how wealthy and clever they were rather than being genuine and humble enough to be likeable.

With a set up like yours as a family run business its abit of both I would say. The farm for you is the main thing but seeing you interact with the family is brilliant. I had a car accident 2 1/2 years ago now and lost my job over it I'm a lorry driver by trade but worked on family farms as a youngster so that's why I enjoy watching your channel. If my back gets well enough that I can get in my bike again I would love to come visit you and see your set up for myself . Keep up the good work mate
