Hello, farmer Phil, tiz I from across the pond. I can't get enough of the Irish brogue. It can be a wee tricky for us on the other side of that big pond, but I do enjoy your videos. When I turn on the TV, I announce to the little lady in a not-so-good Irish brogue that you wouldn't recognize that Farmer Phil is on!

Phil have you got a power socket in the tractor you could plug your go pro In... And a small power pack when you are recording out side. If you don't have the go pro in the waterproof case A power pack works great and dose not go flat. Like the go pro, battery

Bulls looking well! We went mad and bought a wiedeman last year have a bit over 1500 hours up on it and are very happy with it, for the sort of work we do the artic tele is a godsend, had a jcb before it and it was just about clapped the truth of the matter was that when we started to look at a replacement it came down to the Schafer and the wiedeman solely on build quality, they were the stand out machines in the category and wiedeman won on price and the tilt up cab just seemed to be a very nice touch which will be a great asset when she gets to the point where we have to do more m and r. Will be very interested in the weights of the bulls that speckled park and the Frisian beside him look to be a good weight and seem to be getting fleshy.

Thats a good video Phil sounds like you need to start saving your you tube pennies for a big red shaffer 😉would be good to see the old zetor going on the bedder or you could give it to Liv on the diet feeder though i think she may have some choice words for you if its on the feeder.😀👍

Tom Pemberton's contractors manage with a JCB 320s although the last two years or so they have had another tractor rolling the clamp as well.

Cool video, The Bulls are starting ta look like Bulls. Watching yas grow them scrawny little dairy calfs, I can imagine what yad do with a load a Hereford Bull calves 👌

Do you think a new shed would be a good investment? Would free up a lot of space in other sheds and improve cattle performances

it would yes and its on the list but its down to a cost vs reward aspect of everything on the list to what gets done before others

Yes bulls on the slates seem to be preforming better

We used to run 2 Massey skid steers but upgraded them to our current teleporter

no as we dont have any longhorn cattle but we have cattle with longhorns😂😂😂

Why if you sell the bulls for meat why not castrate them? Generally steers are more feed efficient to convert to meat. Also why don't you spread the manure on the fields instead of piling it up? Is it to wet or is there laws against like the slurry?

I don’t think you can spread slurry at the minute in Ireland

It’s illegal to spread slurry or manure till the 15th of January and bulls actually grow better ie. Better daily weight gains but are harder to get enough fat cover on over steers
