I don't know if anyone else has said this, but hooking up to a ball like that is extremely dangerous. If it breaks free you have one heck of a big chunk of metal flying towards one of the trucks. I actually know someone who was killed when the ball broke lose on the truck he was trying to pull out. Came through the back window of his truck and hit him in the back of the head. Always hook up to the frame or even the hitch itself since they should be bolted or welded to the frame. Really enjoy the channel. Be safe guys.

Tip for all , throw out your 2" tow straps. Go to your local truck stop or shop and get 4 " x 30' load straps with a sewn loop at one end. Twice as strong and cheeper. .

I hunted MT for the first time in November. I usually hunt WA blacktails. I had a blast, there’s nothing like it. I bet you have some of that amazing mud in your house to this day Trent. It doesn’t matter if you drive 20 hours away from it and go through a car wash 5x. That stuff is resilient.

Love you guys! I carry (2) 2x4's that are 16-18" long and a couple of 1" cargo straps... go through your rims with the straps and figure 8 the 2x to your tire (on the tread surface)... GO SLOW!!!! It'll work you out of the mud and get you back to getting stuck a little FURTHER down the "road"! Great stuff guys! Keep it up and THANK YOU!!!

You need to carry a yankem rope if not two. look them up they're good for thirty thousand pounds there kind of expensive but it's a slingshot, I've seen Jeep Cherokee to pull out 1-ton Dodge has with a 40ft trailer buried in the sand. Kinetic Ropes are where its at for offroad recovery, they stretch and use kinetic energy to supplement the recovery they are awesome. Not a bad thing to have in your truck for next time.

Always have a set of tire chains and a chain in the ol Tahoe cause when she gets stuck...she is stuck. Have even used a bumper jack as a impromptu wench.

Hey who drives the Chevy? Learn how to put a switch in to the abs fuse to turn it completely off other wise traction control won't disengage I know their is the button but once I figured it out my Chevy was amazing

My shoulders bother me at night a lot. In camp I sleep on a Davis Big Boy cot and a thermarest dream mattress. It's about $400 in sleep system but my shoulders are fine. As good or better than my actual mattress at home. Of course I tell the wife its brutal in camp.
