It was really hard to come across aluminum big block and after they blew the motor several times they would have to send it to a welding shop to put it back together they did a show I'm putting the original engine back into the number one truck and you can see all the damage that was done throughout the years it's all blueprinted and documented it's amazing you got to check out that video If you haven't seen it already look up number one Bigfoot original engine rebuild it's a four-part episode

Bigfoot 1 started with a 460 but was soon changed to a massive 640 with giant hemi style heads.

Well, that is how BIGFOOT got its name, due to Bob's "Big Foot" on the gas. LOL.

What’s so amazing is that most of these trucks not only still extort but still run and drive and they take them to shows. They pass through my town whenever they’re headed any place north of St. Louis. Their driver stops at this tiny ancient gas station in my town to get snacks and stuff for the road and I’ve talked to him several times recently. Those guys on that crew are all the best of the best.

@@veteransforequality7347 No. The block was a 460. The build plus giant 8-71 blower pushed it out over 600. Ain't no stock-ish 460 gonna make that kind of power, that was a built motor. POWERNATION did a rebuild on the motor and it's on youtube.

They were cool to look at, but much like the that 10 foot tire Big Foot, they had to put 3 and 3 together. Bigger is not always better. Real equals real heavy. The smaller one tore through that mud like a child through a mud puddle where as 10 foot struggled aaaaall the way through and then could not crawl out. The worse they made the course, the lighter and more powerful the trucks had to become. Only a cartoon can make it through the nightmare bogs of today... And even some of them get stuck. Plus over all it has to be cheaper to use a tissue top when it comes to flipping them....

Define an actual truck please sir. The only thing this truck has in common with a regular truck is the body. The frame, the engine, rear end, the front end, the trans, the driveshaft, literally everything is different. How is this any different than today besides the body?

Justin W What he means is the older trucks, despite all of the modifications, were still based on a factory produced chassis you could walk into a showroom and buy. The first few Big Foots were based on the F250. BTW I’m simply here as a translator. I have no emotional stake one way or the other.
