Back to mudlarking this week. We go in search of the teeny tiny and find a few cool things on the way! We then came home and crafted lots of new things for our mudlarking dolls house and give you a longer look at the inside to see all the new finds and makes! Hope you enjoy :) x
We have started a patreon page for anyone wishing to support us.
We also have a Ko-fi account, so if you wanted to support us by buying us a metaphorical cup of coffee it would be greatly appreciated xx

As a miniaturist myself I appreciate the “eye” required to see pins, beads, and pipe stem pieces as candlesticks and bird cages. I really enjoy watching your crafting videos. And of course your mudlarking ones as well.

Thank you Lori! We absolutely love miniatures, we'd love to see some of your makes! Starting the dolls house has opened up lots of new opportunity's for some of the finds we may have initially overlooked, and it is so fun thinking of ideas of what to use the various pieces as in the house.

If you carried a safety pin you could use it to pick up the tiny beads. Just pin the safety pin to your bag for when you need it.

When I was younger, I would go camping with my grandma, grandpa and cousins. We would go to the mountains in New Mexico. We would often go hiking and end up on “Bead Hill” where we would search for small beads that the Native Americans had made years and years ago., I guess it was a kind of mudlarking though no mud lol but lots of dirt. I never found whole beads but found a lot of halves. My grandma had a tiny jar she kept the whole beads she found. We also searched for arrow heads.

I love the birdcage and the lamp. The best dollhouses are handmade with enjoyment and love. Keep it up. Perfection too often stops personal artistic endeavors and makes for a lot of unfinished projects. I was so excited this morning to see a video from you. Thanks for something different.

Thank you for saying that Christie! You're so right! Almost everything in the dolls house is handmade, and more than a little wonky, but we love it for that... even though it is a little hard sometimes to accept that what we make doesn't look how we imagined it in our heads, haha. Thank you for joining us!

As an artist myself I do have to say you ladies are gifted...Both of you have an eye for beauty of things once loved lost ,found , repurposed ,and reborn to cherish and love again...It takes patience a steady hand and great eyes...I also repurpose things discarded items like floral, flowers ,paints, ,crafts .. I draw ,paint ,craft ,floral arrange ,wreaths ,swags ,and give my creations to someone having a bad day... Nursing homes ,Hospitals etc, or someone I meet on the street .Im disabled and on disability ,so I love dumpster finds ,sidewalk treasures ,I even ask stores to purchase broken or discarded crafts ,flowers etc.. I JUST LOVE TO SEE SOMEONE SMILE! . I currently am tumbling my rocks and crystals ,trying to watch your video on my 55" tv...So much easier than the phone..Mother nature as well as discarded items are all around us ...Amazing what gifts are available to bring to life...Keep on shining bright my Sister's ⭐... Love and Light ☯️from Pittsburgh PA.US.🌙🌕🌜. ** I have a suggestion that may help : If the floral wire seems a lil too heavy ,even the smallest ply.I sometimes use fishing line... for the tiny dolls necklaces ..as it is pretty strong and more pliable.. this works great in some jewelry also..just my thoughts..) You could use a wooden round piece for the base of the birdcage. Stick your pins around the base. Glue the larger round wire on the top of the pins. Glue another round of pins to that. Glue the smaller round wire to the top of those pins, etc. . That will make the cage taller and more stable.

I love your doll house things. The three partial figures on the ledge (Two without heads) looked pretty judgemental, with one having his arms crossed and one with a head with a hand on hip. I would tell them to chill. The video was very soothing, and I needed that today.

Your dolls house craft videos are my favourite! I also love anything Timothy White's related as my late Nan worked in the shop in Portsmouth, which is where I live 🤗

Dolls house crafts are our favourite things to make! So we're very happy to hear you enjoy them! What a wonderful coincidence, both mum & dad grew up around Portsmouth (it is beautiful), and we have mudlarked the area, but never found anything Timothy White until now

@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers I love that you have a family connection with Portsmouth. Yes, I've seen your video of your lark in here, I loved it! A few years ago myself and Jane (myordinarytreasure) went treasure hunting under there too 👍😃
