Bought to do the same thing with my 1436 what kind of speed you getting with it just you and with someone else?

Before I bypassed the governor i was getting 16-18 on a good day alone 14-15 with one other person After the bypass i was seeing 20-24 depending if i had another person with me

No i think most of the people that are have the belt problem are the same people that put the belt on the clutch before putting clutch on so the clutch isn’t sitting all the way back thats just my opinion but they are shimmin it with washers to fix the problem

When you installed the clutch onto the drive shaft, did it bottom out against the casing?

If you referring if it went all the way back till it hit the back yea .

@@cameroncongleton5402 I haven’t had a single problem with mine the whole duck season but i did see alot of people with belt problems of it walking those people had to shim it with washers from my understanding but i think those people are the same people who installed the clutch after putting belt first so they didn’t get the clutch to sit all the way back properly

I just built the same 13-16 hp kit with the same Predator 459 CC engine. My prop still spins at engine idle, the clutch kicks in about 2 seconds after startup. Are you having the same problem? Did you reduce the idle speed with the adjustment screw on the carburetor to get the clutch to disengage at idle?

I had to go down on idling to 1150 I believe but i did go down

Sometimes it does spin real slow at 1150 rpms but once inside water clutch worked perfect

Did you turn out the screw on the carburetor to get to 1150 rpms? Thanks @@hookedwithbryan

@@garyrogers507 yes there is a little black screw under the air filter box between the exhaust its a philips head turn the motor on and unscrew very little you will see your rpms drop

The screw you took out to get the belt on is actually the belt tensioner. I’d recommend putting it back because after some use your belt will stretch a little and without enough tension it will walk to one side or the other of the clutch and rub and eventually come apart
