thank you Ghost Ship for introducing me to Mudvayne for the 1st time many years ago. if not for the ending credits and hearing this song i don't know that i would have been introduced to them and definitely would have missed out. One of my all time favorites.

I saw them live in i believe 02 at the pledge of allegiance tour in san jose. They were playing with ramstein, slipknot and system of a down. They are bad ass live.

big mike I remember when we didn’t even have a name for this type of metal. We even called it “math metal” because of the time signature and it’s complexity. With bands like periphery and such these days, we forget just how complex this music is when no one had Kate’s a blueprint for it. This was absolutely unheard of at the time literally lol

@@thedorchaidhe6964 I've always felt it was the "hardcore" metalheads that would judge this type of music and create their own sub genres "nu metal, math, progressive" etc. for it. Metal, I've always felt, was a sub genre of Rock. So the critizism of bands like Korn, Mudvayne, Slipknot or even POD from "Metalheads" always came off as hypocritical in my eyes.

welcome2havoc The movie is even creepier when you have actually visited one of the places that was actually in the movie. Remember the pool scene? That was filmed on the Queen Mary and I was there a couple of years ago. And I can promise you this, the Queen Mary IS haunted. I may not have caught any ghosts on film, but I DID sense them throughout the ship.

I guess I have a pretty cool mom, because when I was like 10 years old, she had just gotten her first MP3 player. She proceeded to load it with music from Napster and figured out how to hook it up to her car stereo. The first song she played was this song, and I was like “Mom! You like Mudvayne?” And she just said, “Yeah, they’re awesome!” One of the greatest moments of my childhood, right there. Edit: To all the people who have liked and commented on this comment, I’m sorry to say that my Mom passed away two days ago. If she only knew that somewhere on the Internet, 1.5k people thought she was really cool. Thank you, everyone.

Almost 40, I'm big fan of classical music, I play classical guitar, yesterday I went to a concert of Beethoven's piano sonatas, I woke up today singing Mudvayne 😂. I remember being 4 days into my marriage , not only was I 16 but I had moved 3 states away from everyone I knew an I listen to this while my husband was at work an little did I know the next night we'd be homeless. 10 years married this year an we've over came so much. But when I hear this song I can still feel what it was like that day. Music is so powerful.

@@RasputinPrime75 I think there's gonna be a huge revival of interest in the genre in the next couple years though given how many newer acts seem to pay homage to it. The only reason it got hate in the ots is oversaturation and plenty of it was both very good and very creative.
