He rarely loses the ball, and when he does he goes to get it straight back. Not only that, but he knows when to play a ball, whether that's back, forward, or to take on the opposition. To have all of these things as a footballer and central midfielder, and especially at his age, is impressive and is what makes him stand out.

I haven’t seen one person say he’s overhyped which is mad as he’s being touted as potentially one of the best midfielders ever at 18 after half a season of playing at the elite level. The kid oozes class and everyone can see it. I just hope he stays healthy and hungry.

@@MotionFlix101 I haven’t explicitly looked but with previous players with this kind of hype every other comment on every yet video is “he’s overrated” whereas with Mainoo almost all I see are “this kid is special” comments. Which is rare. Of course there are deniers out there, some people deny the Holocaust and think the earth is flat. I mean normal sane people.

1:50 I don't think people realize just how RIDICULOUS this boy is. The bravery, intelligence and ability to carry this out is what separates him. The skill of a forward, the physicality and brain to play in the middle. No wonder he is so composed; his control is so good, and his ability to dribble and ride challenges is so good, that he backs himself to come out on top in these tight situations. His talent and composure is off the charts for his age. Just have my head in hands watching him cook players left right and center. No fear in this lad 😤😤
