The player that gave me hope enough to believe in Man U again. He plays with real heart that has been lacking for this team for so long. He gives me the feel of the old-timers Rio, Vidic, Keane, Giggs, Scholes, and so on. Beautiful to see. He'll be crowned a legend if he stays at United, no doubt.

Funny thing is, Ten Hag originally went for Timber, but then couldn't get him, then Martinez personally called Ten Hag and told him that Arsenal wants to sign him, but if Ten Hag needs him in his plans, he will immediately sign for Manchester United.

@@Matt_Underwood Louis van Gaal actually convinced Timber to stay and sign a new contract at Ajax for 1 more season before joining a big club. Van Gaal also tried to convince EtH to not join Manchester United because it was a ''commercial club''. Little did we know as Dutch people, wtf he was talking about. Now following the Glazers story, I fully understand what he meant with ''commercial club''

@@sercankuralay9989LVG is right about United being a commercial club. The higher ups and especially the Glazers do not care about football or trophies. They only care about the commercial revenue they get. United are a big club so they’re going to make a lot from the commercial side of the game. Hopefully they go really soon but I wouldn’t be suprised if they stay

He’d be easier to throw off balance if he was taller. He’s a lot more grounded at his height. Same reason you couldn’t get the ball of messi. Low centre of gravity.

He is the most criminally underrated player I’ve ever seen. First of all he doesn’t have the weight or size of taller CBs to throw around but will still out muscle most players who come up against him and secondly he always times his tackles perfectly, holding off the player until he’s got the perfect opportunity and taking it. Also, how many other centre halves have the same level of confidence on the ball and are prepared to put their body on the line to protect the team. I can’t believe he still doesn’t get the recognition he deserves as without him Utd just don’t look the same

He and varane was pretty much a unbreakable wall!! then both got injured in the same game and you could instantly see how much those two gave to the defence, not taking anything away from shaw and lindelof as they both done a good job but these two were outstanding and you can see how varanes comeback has again made the defence stronger with the pairing with inform lindelof allowing the very consistent shaw got back to LB Another thing with Martinez is hes very aggressive and isnt afraid to make a block or tackle

He gives everything, and that everything is intelligent, determined and decisive. What an amazing signing. When it was announced we had signed him, all the focus was on his height; of course we all thought about it, but at the same time, we wanted so much to trust in ETH's choice, and what a choice. Outstanding first season.

Incredible how many times he's broke the lines or been the first pass in link up for goals. Def transformed over night when he arrived. Ñ01 signing for me if he hadn't of got injured.

As a Man Utd fan i cant lie, in the summer when we was Linked with Timber but then ended up getting Martinez i was a bit disappointed BUT he has completely earned my respect and trust as a player. He is a fantastic CB and has that never say die attitude, his ball playing is also great. One of the first names on the team sheet. GgMu 🔥❤

What we’ve missed recently is that energy he has on the ball after tackling, I think he can get to the ball so quickly after the tackle that he brings a sense of urgency or momentum, definitely not a lazy player anyway

This guy is special. You can never see fear in his eyes. Aggressive but calm and composed. Always time his tackle. His passes are world class. He even has through passes more than most of Man U midfielders. Anytime you see Martinez not at his best, just know Man U will lose the match.
