Dr israr Ahmad was not a scholar .he was refuted by ulama such as Dr mufti Abdul Wahid lahore .molana Yusuf Ludhianvi etc.dr israr Ahmad was dependent on ulama e Deoband why he praised them .mufti zarwali Khan was a deobandi .so he has the right to say .mufti Zarwali Khan is the teacher of lakhs of ulama such as Aurangzeb farooqi .molana Fazal subhan .molana rab Nawaz hanfi etc .so don't even try to compare .mufti zarwali Khan was giving dars Quran on oxygen cyliander and taught fiqh Quran and tafseer for 35years .what about Dr israr s hadith and fiqh .he was nothing in front of Mufti Zarwali khan ..mufti zarwali is the one who despite being an non arab pointed out mistakes of the biggest scholar of world Sheikh Salih al humaid who is chief justice and imam of kaaba . So it is better and as far the question that why mufti zarwali Khan tells he met this and that .you should say the same on Shah Waliullah muhaddis. If we where to go by your method, Deen would have completely changed. Regards to the mistakes, there is a difference. Mufti sb is entitled to his opinion - Dr israr is not. You may call this biased, but this would be your immaturity.. an expect can hold his own unique opinion. In medicine, there are experts, they have their own stance which differs to the mainstream.. but they are of that calibre.

i dont think they hate them. Thats a conclusion you are drawing. What ulema are standing up for is respect for previous scholars and fuqha. Four fuqha and four mazahib. Ulema have not tried to set up a new mazhab. They have learned to respect that no one now is capable of drawing mazhab now. Dr Israr was well versed in tafsir but he isnt qualified to draw deen himself. That requires more. More than any scholar is capable of. Its a fine point of disagreement.

Very true, These people haven't done even one tenth of what Dr Asrar Sb has done and talking against him. They don't say what blunders the so called earlier scholars did.

Sqlqm. Brother, If you listen carefully, his criticism has a balance. He did acknowledge his efforts as well but criticised his mistakes ( according to mufti zar wali khan) ulema have the right to correct each others and it's not a leg pulling, this is a discussion about religion. Similarly a scientists view things differently and they counter attack each other's research. The things go wrong when a person with no certified Islamic qualifications start criticising a a mufti or scholar but here a sheikh ul Hadees mufti Aalim is criticising a great scholar dr israr. Both had an ocean of knowledge and may Allah give them the highest places in Jennat. Ameen
