I'm a YAH fearing Christian... But I'm very well pleased to acknowledge that in Islam also rebuke the attitude of pride... My LORD YESHUA ( ʿĪsā ibn Maryam ) stated: Matthew 18:2-4 New King James Version 2 Then Jesus called a little (A)child to Him, set him in the midst of them, 3 and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, (B)unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 (C)Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Blessings all from me Dirk Van Der Merwe - Richards Bay South Africa.

This is an excellent lecture. But I take a little bit of issue with the term "slave of Allah." A slave is a person who works for someone else, with no benefit for themselves. If you are a slave to Allah, you should get infinite benefits.

Allah will give you those inifinte benefits such as if you pray five times a day. There forehead on the day of judgement will have so much light the blessing will come out of there head and hopefully if your sins were bad before they will be forgiven.

I feel we are confusing Pride with: Arrogance, haughty, conceited, self-important, egotistic, full of oneself, superior; overbearing,pompous, bumptious, presumptuous,imperious, overweening; immodest; informalhigh and mighty, too big for one's britches, too big for one's boots, big-headed, puffed up; rarehubristic. My question, is it Harram to be proud that I am a Muslim, or of my son when he prays on time, or myself of passing an exam, or proud of the Yemeni people that served Islam and prophet Muhammad pbuh? As long as my pride does not lead me to think I am better than anyone or disobey Allah swt and his messenger Muhammad pbuh is it Harram? Am I not allowed to hold my head high and be proud of Abu Bakkr, Omar, Uthman, Ali, Maath ibn Jabal, Talha, Al-Zubair, Alaous and Alkhazrag, alayhum assalam and of those in history who served Islam and his messenger Muhammad pbuh? I am really confused. Please explain to me if all pride is bad or harram? Or is it the pride that makes someone think they are better than others and disobey Allah swt that is bad and harram? Jazakum Allah khair

There is no wrong in doing proud until you belittle others or have the arrogance that you are a better Muslim than any other person. Only Allah knows whom He loves more. There is no place for show off in Islam.

It is better to be happy for you son. To be proud means that it's about you , not him . When you are proud that you passed a test , I think another feeling word is more suited, like grateful, happy, love, joy, relief.

The worst pride is too proud to pray . My family does not pray or anything . They believe, but they are too proud . Pride can keep you from fear of Allah, too.

Pride can keep you from showing pain or love. Your honesty shows you have mistaken the word pride with other good feelings .

The one exception I know of when some kind of pride is okay is when brothers are walking to the mosque, they should do so with head high , etc. . But that's a different kind pride, no haughtiness.

If I think I am better than someone in terms of work or any other quality.. That thinking is pride? Bcoz that can be the truth.. That I am better.. What's wrong in accepting the truth? I am confused.

It depends on things, if you see it on one thing and that is work according to you it is truth and it may be true but if you go out say in public may disgrace that person it would be pride, now you have to see within yourself that do you consider yourself better in all cases example- intelligence, money, family background and you may not know the truth believe me you will fall on pride and pride will lead to arrogance and it will lead you to ignorance and ignorance will let you not work hard on yourself so you may not know that the other person through his hard work got ahead of you in the work , so even that is true make sure you not see him as low and always work hard to be always ahead by the will of the Most High.

U can be “better” at someone at math maybe but they are “better” than u in some other way for example politics. Everybody has something of value or talent they are good at. Nobody can really be better than somebody else only Allah SWT can judge on that.

@Mevrouw Aruba* Well if you are such an arrogant person then maybe you should study Islam more. Murder of an innocent person is a very serious and major sin and there is no doubt about that. But that doesn't mean that you won't enter Paradise some day if you die upon Tawheed. Allah clearly says that Allah forgives every sin except shirk because according of majoirty of the scholars only assocaiting partners with Allah brings one to eternal Hell.
@leun6768

@Mevrouw Aruba* Wow you seem very triggered and the truth may hurt for you. Yes you are arrogant because you are going against what Allah (SWT) has said. I am not saying this from my own words, and if you want I can give you references that proves my statement. Havnt you heard about the authentic Hadeeth about someone who killed 100 people and went to Jannah?
@leun6768
@leun6768 4 жыл бұрын
@Mevrouw Aruba* The arrogance in you is surreal. If you are contempt with your statement then you probably have evidence for it right? Prove me right now from Quran or Authentic Hadeeth that Allah does not forgive murders and they will never enter Jannah. If you cant bring me simple proof then I will treat you as a useless and arrogant internet warrior
@leun6768
@leun6768 4 жыл бұрын
Mevrouw Aruba* Haha You are a fool, literally and everyone in this comment section may agree. The only thing you are doing is uttering own words without evidence (even though I asked for it) and then typing hate like a typical internet warrior. Go ahead and give me evidence of your dangerous claim. I know you can’t so why don’t you just admit it? Where did you get this from? And why so mad?

2 Timothy 3:1-5 ESV / But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power.
