Definitely! Leeds was a very nice city in my opinion. Cheap city for rent and drinks, diverse student body, and the SCAPE (for Chem eng) is a pretty new building which was always my favourite place to study. The libraries are great, the campus is close to the city and most accommodations are quite close as well(mine was 30 mins away tho). also the great thing about Leeds is after first year, most non freshers rent their house in the nearby Hyde park area, or headingley. So you’ll be close to students in all of your years. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience tbh

Nice video. I'm a 1st year aerospace engineering student at Leeds Uni and I'm finding it super difficult to keep up with the schedule. Also I do struggle in a few modules but I'm not sure how to get 1 to 1 help since everything's online. If Covid wasn't here, I feel like I would love it here but I really hate these online lectures and find it impossible to concentrate if the lectures are over 40 minutes.

Hi :) so I'm considering Leeds for next year and had a few questions. How long does it take to get to know your flat mates and what kind of stuff do freshers talk about :)? I'm super socially anxious hence the questions. Look forward to hearing from you

at first, you'll be a bit anxious, especially me because I skipped fresher's week due to a visa problem I faced ( i might make a video about it). but just sit in the shared kitchen, go to events and im pretty sure you will make tonnes of friends from your course and freshers week. don't worry, you'll be bored of people xD

Nope, as far as I know, Universities in the UK only interview medicine student. Except for cambridge and oxford, they interview for all majors.

Charles Morris Halls, Catered + ensuite room costs around 7.8K per year, the uni's accommodation website has all the prices in it.

Hey man, considering maths or engineering at uni. Leaning towards engineering because if I do maths I might end end up being a teacher, which I don’t want. What sort of jobs can you do with engineering?

John Easy Hello, there are a lot of jobs a mathematician and a mech eng students can do, and some of them overlap (data analysis, supply chain, etc.) Try googling the roles of each and always remember that a mech eng can do stuff outside their field (finance, consulting etc) but I think same for mathematics major. Try googling maths snd mech eng role and you’ll get much more help

Muhab Hasan have you got work experience yet? I was speaking to my cousin (who has a masters in automotive engineering) and he struggled finding a job because he didn’t have any work experience. He advised me to do an apprenticeship after alevel, and then go to uni to do engineering.

John Easy of course it does. In fact, the placement year can also count towards you being a chartered engineer if you did an eng placement as an engineer

Thank you I am glad you liked it :), well, I got 3A*s in my A-levels and I wanted highly ranked university that is outside London. and Leeds was the first option since its highly ranked in mech eng. Also, its a really nice city where everything is walking distance away from you.
