I met Muhammad Ali as a teenager in Cherry Hill, NJ back in the 70's. Never forget how nice he was to 5 young kids who he came out of his house to meet in his driveway and talked with us for several minutes. Shook his hand. Absolutely THE GREATEST!

Every so often I search something on Ali to remind me of his greatness as a man and this celebration came up, what a tribute and Whitney Houston is an angel the greatest female singer of all time, Ali was the first boxer I ever watched on tv with my mum and dad I was 9yrs old and he was fighting Leon spinks since then I’ve been fascinated by this great man’s charisma courage and boxing skill 🦋🥊🐝

I love Ali. I was at the Primary school when he was the champion!!’ We used to singing his song, and that time as well we have no TV in our country. Just the last 2 months I started watching his videos!!! I cried a lots and amazing watching stories of M Ali’ God Rest In Peace Ali!!! The Greatest of that times!!!! The most famous person !!!! I just watched This is your Life, they surprised him for real, I was just a kid, then I saw Will Smith bring this great man’s life on screen, great job Will. Love this man, his confidence, his stand against the war when in his own country treated its citizens poorly, his love for people, his philanthropy, his sense of humor, a loving father and his relationship with Howard Coselle, amazing friendship. Check out the long interview he done to talk about his whole caeer, it was after his retirement on youtube in 79 ( there was nothing to sell at this time ). I was just a kid, but my parents allowed me to stay up late and watch this when it first aired, almost 22 years ago. I'm amazed at how much of it has stuck with me since then. As I watched it, there was a lot I specifically remembered.

You can be 5 or 10 times world champion but, it doesn't matter, 'cause you are a champion inside the ring and Ali is the champion inside the ring and for the whole world. Nobody beats Ali, RIP champ :)

I grew up in the 70's (born in 1959). Muhammad Ali was the most well known athlete in the world. He and Cosell were as much a part of TV as was Sonny and Cher. I had family members that despised him due to his objection to the war and him refusing the induction into the military. All of those things stuck with me, but I believe he may have been truly opposed to the war. The same men that opposed him for his politics truly admired his boxing - he was unbelievable. We used to put on kid's boxing gloves and pretend we were Ali, Foreman, Frazier, and all the other big names. Ali owned the 70's - I am glad I have all the memories and I really would have enjoy meeting the champ.

My friend The Greatest off all time was not black. He was white, Asian, Indian, middle stern ....etc he was champ of people. World has lost one of the greatest human being ever lived. May you rest in peace my hero!
