Hate on Belal as much as you want, but he took a short notice fight against a killer in the division right after Ramadan with the risk of losing a potential title shot. He's got balls, and I thank these 2 for saving this card.

Belal is One of the few guys who truly learned from his lost like Ngannou, I really do think Belal gets it done in the Championship rounds dude has much better striking he picks his shot more accurate and ofc his cardio, pressure gonna be a problem for Gilbert

Nah I'm a Leon fan but the fight between Colby and Leon is definitely happening unfortunately. And honestly if it were up to me, the winner of Belal vs Burns gets the title shot Colby doesn't even deserve an interim fight. Apparently Leon vs Colby is happening in October maybe Abu Dhabi.

I think that if Burns wins he will fight instead of Colby. Hella suspicious that there isn't already a contract between Colby and Edwards. The only reason that Dana hasn't said it is because Belal could win.

I fear this is going to be one of them boring fights where the styles are conducive to it being spent grappling against the fence. Muhammad’s striking is nowhere near as good as burns so he’s going to try tying him up. Burns take down defence and ju-jitsu’s really high level though so I foresee this being slow and paced

@@blockchainduke9640 no it never has looked that good. He clearly has improved. He is one of them fighters I always thought, if he come up against usman or likes of Leon Edwards or colby he’s in for a bad night - I still do. Burns when he’s on form though his striking is brilliant. Hence what I said. Belal likes to grapple a lot and he was likely to do it here from previous performances. Clearly his game plan was different than expected and it payed off. Was right though - it wasn’t the most fun of fights in my opinion. I like fast paced back and forth over slow and methodical and their styles still played out to what I expected. Belal striking did look a lot better than previously though - impressive I just believe styles make fights and it is true.

I’m pulling for Belal but it’s his fight style. He’s a grinder, pace, volume guy. His fights generally haven’t been bangers. I’m hoping training with Khabib has put him over the top and he’ll actually go after the finish more.
