Listened to the post round recaps on the radio that night with my mother. Sometime in the 80s or 90s, Bryan Gumbel talked about how he cried that night after Ali lost the decision. That was the first time that I had ever heard anyone say that... All those years in between, I thought I was the only one.

I remember watching ABC sports during that telecast and being shocked with what happened. So long ago now and Joe is no longer with us. Looking back it is great theatre! Mohammed is the showman. Makes me laugh now. Just two different personalities.

I mean, to be fair, after watching Django Unchained, isn't this just one step above Mandingo fighting? I looove boxing but if you look at the crowd its like, rich white dudes in suits watching ppl fight till they cant anymore...pretty damn close lol. Luckily people have taken to learn the respect the fighters have brought to the sport, instead of the institutionalized aspect of violence. But good catch man, that was subtle. Miles Davis is the shit!

Nowadays they all do that and worse... Messi and his AFA teammates heckled their rivals and the supporters in the stands at this last FIFA WC The biggest difference between Ali and today's bad sportsmen, is that Ali could back it up.

An athlete is Box, soccer, athletics tennis ... any athlete if this athlete has advantages should keep silence and have respect, do not forget that this is competition and Ali confused a lot this and went against their Spiritual beliefs since I did not respect them inside and outside the ring humiliating their rivals and offending them (I call uncle Tom JOE FRAIZER) and that was very serious I think Ali only read the Quran for his pleasure what he put into practice was more Marketing than anything else, then to leave the box would have been another person was a great athlete but as a person a great speaker and offended his rivals !!!!!!!!!!
