I even took a few courses on the History of the Blues while in college. I only recently heard you for the first time. You are tremendous. I love country blues, particularly MJH, Memphis Minnie, Barbecue Bob, Lightnin Hopkins, Brownie McGhee., Sonny Terry and so many others. Do you ever play with other musicians. I'm thinking fiddle and banjo. If so, there's a wealth of music out there. It's time perhaps to revive the inimitable Charlie Poole and his Carolina Ramblers. One of my favourite country singers. Doc Watson, one of the greatest guitar players of all time famously said that it took him 10 years of practice to emulate John Hurts style of playing. This young lady has it mastered at 14.

Muireann, I'm from the Mississippi Delta and I live only a couple of miles from where the levee you sing about broke and I used to work close to where Mississippi John Hurt is buried and also Robert Johnson. I just want to say i love your fingerpicking style and your choice of misic. If you ever want to come visit where the blues got started I would love to help show you the area and help you get the most out of the "Blues Trail".

Every guitarist should learn at least one Mississippi John Hurt song. This is fantastic playing and singing. As a long time player, I find Hurt’s style to be my favorite fingerpicking style, and this captures the intricacy and subtleties perfectly.

Just discovered this young lady, very talented, love everything I’ve seen so far.

I started trying to fingerpick so many times over the years. Never managed anything except the most simple patterns. I’ve been playing guitar almost twice as long as this young lady has been alive 😂 She’s an hour up the road from me in the next county but a million miles ahead away in terms of talent.
