मुखतार भाई - आपका इंटरव्ह्यु सूनके ही मी आपका बडा फॅन बंन चुका हू . आपकी वाणी मे शुद्धता है ,सरलता है ,सुकून है ,मिठास है .,नम्रता है - इतना सब पाके भी आपके पाव जमी पै है .स्वर्गीय मुकेश जी के बाद - सिर्फ आप ही हो ,जिंनके कंठ से मुकेश जैसी आवाज निकलती है . मुकेश जी के गाणे तो सभी ही गाते है ,मगर विनय शिलता के कारन ही ,आपके उपर मॉ सरस्वती की कृपा हुई है - ईसे आप ऐसेही बरकरार रखे - शायद आपके रूप मे , इस भारत वर्ष मे ,एक सुपर -मुकेश पैदा होने वाला हो 👃👃

मैं पर्सनली मुख़्तार भाई को जानता हूँ और मैंने कभी उनमें अहंकार का एक कतरा भी नहीं देखा के ये इतने बड़े कलाकार हैं। उनकी आवाज़ के साथ ही उनका ये मधुर स्वभाव उनको एक महान श्रेणी का इंसान बनाती है। आप ऐसे ही रहना जैसे ऊपर वाले ने आपको बनाया है और ऊपर वाला अपने आप आपका ख़याल रखेगा और आप हमेशा चौटी के कलाकारों में शामिल रहेंगे। महान हैं वो माता पिता जिन्होंने आपको जन्म दिया और पाला पोसा। मैं भाग्यशाली हूँ के मैं आपके अपनों की लिस्ट में हूँ और आप मुझे याद रखते हैं।

Best is he remembers the song's nuances and not just the lyrics so well - I have never seen him refer to the scoresheet - sign of the dedication he puts into his love for Mukesh. Edit: wrote that before going through the clips - he says so at 14:29

I love old songs of Rafi sab…Mukesh ji… Lata ji…Asha ji…Susan ji… no comparison…but I love only Mukhatar sab ki awaz… exactly like Mukesh ji… I am from Ahmedabad too…in 1960 to 1978 in the wedding time day before the wedding night we used to call Mahesh kumar…Michael & Party…invite kertey the… I moved to USA California in 1978 so I missed all those Entertainment program..I used to take part in annual functions in singing and Garbas…in college I was in Bhavans college from 1967 to 1970….

Aaj maine aapko pehli dafa suna waqai Aap Mukesh ji ki xerox hain agar aap unhi ke daur mein singer hote to dono voices ko recognize krna mushkil ho jata jaise lata ji aur Suman ji ko sunte huey log aksar dhokha kha jaate hain.
