Seagullarity the rice cake itself doesn’t really taste anything and that spicy red sauce tastes sweet and spicy, I love that combination 😋

tbh it looks better than it is. it feels like u choke on it rather than chew it (imagine u have like 20 pieces of thick gum in ur mouth lmao literally like that). the flavour is also pretty bland however the spice level is pretty nice if u like spicy things

I'm always in Korea town here in LA eating tteobokki. One of my favorite comfort foods. I think this would be a huge hit in Mexico as a street food as well. A lot of common tastes from the green onion, hot pepper flakes, and the cut up serranos/jalapenos. Convinced it would be a hit.

I am eating toppoki as we speak! The ones with chili sauce. I have also tried the ones with beef and soy based sauce. The texture of the rice cakes is so pleasing!

까탈스럽게 위생 운운하는 사람들 덕분에 ~ 그래도 길거리 음식 위생이 많이 좋아진거~ 위생 사각지대는 정말 판매자의 양심에만 의존해야만 하는게 현실~ 일부 돈없고 배고픈 어린 아이들이나 어른들이 많이 사먹기 때문에 안습

You most likely won’t meet any idols. It’s like saying you came to America to meet Ariana Grande.. it’s like the possibility of that happening. Your other two reasons are pretty valid though. Korea is beautiful (most of the time, sometimes the air makes it look really dreary), and Korea also has the best food. :)

Let me try to describe as best as i can. It tastes very spicy and a bit sweet. Texture is soft and when you bite it is chewy and sticky. But you would appreciate the more you chew and bite because the white “ddeok” is made of either rice or flour. The red paste is red pepper marinated with sugar, salt, and soy sauce etc. i hope this would help with your curiosity.
