But didn't fans want the live action movies to be more original and not be the same as the animated movies like Maleficent. I'm honestly happy that Mushu and the Bug aren't in the live action movie and that its supposed to be more in line with the original book and with the animated story being mixed in.

Archangel, I would, without a doubt 113% agree with this, IF. What we were shown in the trailers actually matched the said source material then. And I feel the character of Mulan has been butchered. The once Charismatic, fun yet understandabley learns through out the movie how to fight like a soldier. Not crazy flips that knock out Spears and snake sorcerers. (Idk of those are in the original source material).

Original SINGING voice...Donny Osmond only did Shang's singing voice, while B.D. Wong was Shang's speaking voice. Just like how Ming-Na Wen voiced Mulan but another woman (Lea Salonga?) was Mulan's singing voice.

Chinese Dragons come in a variety of sizes, including small which is why they made him the way we saw him in that movie, it would be easier for him to hide🐉

I love the idea that Shang is singing *all* of this, including the interjections-that he's just as terrified of dying as his men, cursing himself for slacking off at the training academy, and hoping that his subordinates don't "see right through" his tough-guy act to the scared kid he is inside. SHANG: (Throwing open his tent doors, exhausted) I'm never gonna catch my breath; (Picks up painting of him at his academy graduation with his father) Say goodbye to those who knew me. (Slumps down on his bed, looking guiltily at the painting) Boy was I a fool in school for cutting gym! (There's a disturbance outside. He opens the tent flap to see "Ping" completely failing her swimming training; wryly:) This guy's got 'em scared to death. (Anxiously looking down at the inexperienced kid in the picture.) Hope he doesn't see right through me. ("Ping" starts to drown outside; Shang runs to rescue her.) Now I really wish I knew how to swim... (Harshly to himself as he runs:) Be a man!

It's common opinion that Aurelian was the greatest victim of treachery in Rome. But I disagree. They only killed him after he had restored the world. Aetius was killed before he could save Rome

I understand that Disney thinks it's sexist and blablabla. I don't think it is at all... It's a song about a commander trying to train his recruits and just happens one lied and is a woman. But even then the music is about surpassing your limits and bring able to achieve incredible things if you put your mind to it. I don't see any problem with this song.. Thank God I was born in 91 and could enjoy so many classics

Actually, it'd be cool if Mushu was a small red dragon in the live-action movie and could turn into that giant red dragon on the pic of the video when Mulan fought her decisive battles and scare off her enemies like Mulan had a potent guardian by her side. Except I've read actual Mulan and a hawk witch is nowhere to be seen in the poem 😑 If there is a hawk that turns into a hot chick, they could actually add a proud Chinese symbol - the red dragon - as a spirit Guardian. It is the symbol of strength, success, glory in China, and Mulan who seeks to bring honour to her family, would surely benefit from such a spirit by her side. Symbolically, it would portray that she truly is honourable enough to have such a royal guardian beside, while a hawk witch is an unnecessary add-on. So no, you can't deny the moviemakers actually screwed this time 👌

There's a theory going around that Mulan's guardian (the real great stone dragon) didn't show up, because Mulan IS the great stone dragon. However, Mulan is right there. With... a giant dragon beside her. I like this version better with it being Mushu. :)

@@kingkylie9655 True. I would've loved to see Mushu in an epic dragon style in the movie, tbh. Like, they did make certain comic characters serious in Live Actions (Belle's and Jasmine's fathers, for example), so they could've done the same with Mushu. Even change his name if they wanted, like they did Li Shang, Shang Yu, Huns, and basically everyone. But seeing that red dragon and some of his quotes with the same meaning yet serious flavour, we'd know it was Mushu of old days, more badass ^^

@@TamunaTsertsvadze it would have been beyond awesome, a jaw dropping scene, if in near the end fight mulan were fighting a supernatural group of beings beside shang yu, and little mushu goes out of her clothes and goes full mighty dragon like this, with something like " this time for sure, mulan, i wont let you down" (referring to fa-den disaster ), and leaves mulan to fight shang yu uninterrupted
