I promise you won't be disappointed if you rebody one of these lovelies onto a Made to Move body the trick is finding the right skin tone match ✨ imo Mattel knows enthusiasts will be buying 2 dolls in order to make 1 doll the way Mattel should make all their dolls in the first place.

@@barbiechopshop9538 interesting point of view. i won’t be buying any of these dolls, however, because i don’t feel any connection to them at all. But i see what you mean. i have seen the Disney store Snow White on a curvy MTM body and it was shockingly beautiful. My only qualm with MTM rebodying is the articulation. While i love the poseability, find the joints unsightly on female dolls.

@@BlakeGildaphish76 lol I know exactly what you mean about the price of poseability being the ugly android looking joints. I was so happy to finally have natural looking BJD type poses that I didn't really notice the joint issue till another collector pointed it out and well it can't really be unseen now. So I do find myself using basic layers such as thigh highs, stockings, mesh, off the shoulder, undershirts, 3/4 sleeves, cropped jackets etc... in order to conceal. Still I'm having fun learning to design and sew my own ensembles. While the statue like model muse bodies are breathtaking in form I guess I'm an interactive doll collector or out of box which I was embarrassed about in the past. So I appreciate Adam addressing the emotional/psychological complexities of doll collecting in his Shame vid. I think that's why I spend most of my doll money on hybridizing fabulous face sculpts with MTM bodies ... that way I "have to" unbox them. Perhaps the Barbie Extra body could be made more poseable and with less unsightly joints by adding basic ankle and torso articulation to the current design.... In my dreams.

@@barbiechopshop9538 i would really like for Mattel to take it back to the 60s and 70s, when they started giving Barbie more articulation. Dramatic Living Barbie or Busy Barbie for example. Seamless articulation for the most part and up to 13 points! i can see that they “experimenting” with the new 14 inch dolls, but who asked for a 14 inched Barbie doll in tacky-ass clothes??

Ooohhh, that's a really interesting perspective. I hope that's true. I would love for these dolls to be better in the future. We know mattel is capable of making better dolls.

Lol, thanks! Also, I agree that if you like more action figure style dolls, these are great. I mostly collect dolls for clothes and fashion, so I'm just very disappointed when everything is sculpted onto the doll.

@@dollthighs I understand You, I collect varied dolls, a collector series, playline, sometimes action figures, Monster High, Dolls of the World, celebrities and yes I don't like cheap molded dolls usually, but this series are a little lovely for me, simple, but lovely. I was thinking about a new release of Mattel Megara Kida Esmeralda and Jane i that style at least.

She's a cute doll. I just don't love her outfit personally but of you redress her she could he gorgeous.

But their collector dolls don't have great quality which is the reason I stopped buying them. I'll stick with MGA. I've seen these at work not impressed I do however like the mini figures they have that are half the price they would make cute keychains.

Yeah, I agree. The best disney playline dolls are from Shop Disney. They're a little more expensive but definitely worth the price, in my opinion.
