Lea is Mulan. The song "Reflection" was made for her. The rest are just versions. I feel the same way as you do. I can't imagine anyone else playing Mulan except Lea.

I'll send you a recording of my neighboring "belting" out Power of Love. Hmm nothing like bleeding ears in the morning🤣. Real talk though, Lea is not well known here. No shame to other famous singers and celebrities, but it's kinda disappointing. But at the same time you get it, because Lea is mostly in the West and on Broadway/Musicals, which most Filipinos consider "boring" or too complicated. Lalo na sa probinsiya (and I live here). There are some who love musicals and a fan of Lea since her younger years, but they're quite a few. Even kids would prefer Regine, Sarah, etc (again, not downgrading these singers. They're talented as much. And they're present on ASAP most of the time which is why. It's just that it feels unfair for someone like Lea who's been practicing since her childhood and was part of most of the world's memorable musicals to be forgotten/under appreciated by her countryfolk)😢.

I think she acts with her voice. She’s acting and telling a story with her voice/singing. She doesn’t overpower or suffocate the song.

thank you. i remember lea did not almost get to play in Broadway the role of Kim in Miss Saigon because of her ethnicity, being a Filipina. Thank goodness, the producers from UK fought for her to play the role saying if Lea does not get to play the role, playing miss saigon in broadway will have to be cancelled. That much faith in Lea, thanks to UK production team for believing in her

She almost didn’t make it to Broadway in New York City not because she was a Filipina, but because she was not a member of Actors Equity.

They’re pretty much strict about who they allow on Broadway. They almost didn’t allow Sarah Brightman in Phantom of the Opera, and she was Andrew Lloyd Webber’s wife

When I saw her played Eponine in Les Mis in WE, I was really stunned because her voice was sparkling, and it was so different from the others. All the casts were great in WE but she was special. I can't find better words to explain how I felt when I heard the first bit of her appearance. It was like only her voice was in a spotlight.

That is what makes her THE Best.. She doesnt need to Belt/Scream, even if she's singing someone's song-she respects its original version by singing it beautifully Compared to Most Filipino Singers/Belters who, just to make it sound 'Their Own'would belt out to the point of NOT UNDERSTANDING THE LYRICS ANYMORE..YOU BELTERS/SCREAMERS WILL NEVER GET TO THE PLACE WHERE LEA IS RIGHT NOW BEC UR VOICES WILL FADE.. She started put as a child stage actress, and have stayed on, harnessed her sigining talent to become a world-class singer. She was born with a microphone by her side, we can tell!! I must say she is an expert to the field where she is in. she has also disciplined herself since she was a child to enhance her talent and be skillful in an early age . She is also a very smart woman, excellent in her school days plus a photographic memory which she can actually remember the script in one reading

For starters Lea grew on stage... At very young age she was already doing Broadway under the repertory philippines.. First one of the Von trapp kids in sound of music then the title role of little orphan Annie and a lot more...she's our Broadway diva
