I don't know if you do already or not but I always keep a chainsaw with me on every job. If and when, coz it's gonna happen, you get a good sized log jammed up on either side of the drum, nothing you will do will free it up and it'll shut you down for the day. Having a chainsaw handy however will make quick work on freeing it up.

Awesome. I have one on hand at every job. I’ll keep that in mind when I’m jammed up. Thanks a bunch!

@@honeycuttsbrushmore3244 You're very welcome, like the saying goes, "time is money." Nothing worse to have downtime do to not having 1 tool handy.

Good golly that was a stubborn tree. Looks great. Say do you have the same problem with yellow flies there like we do here?

I have a problem with my mulcher wanting to grab the trunk and pull the whole thing in at once. Any tips?

Are the carbides new? I get that issue when they get worn. If the stump is large I always point the mulching head as high up as I can and and start with the front of the stump, then try to tackle the back. It doesn’t pull as bad and if it does catch it’s pointed in a direction to keep the pull to a minimum. On the smaller trees if they get pulled in they can get it binded up, but I tend to work top down on those so they don’t do that as much. If we don’t want that to happen we need to get a different mulcher and tooth style.

@Honeycutt's Brush & More I flipped them all around to the sharp/new side of the teeth. I thought about going as high up the tree as possible, cutting through it then grinding down through the trunk to the stump. Still have the glass windshield and just afraid of something slinging back and busting my glass.
