This one's for all the people out there who are struggling in life, for any kind of reason.
My vidding experience brings me very close to some of my followers' personal stories, to the doubts they're having and the problems they're facing. Sometimes our talks seem like group therapy. I find them so helpful to remind myself that I'm not alone in this journey...
I've always said that the point of what I do it's not the mere celebration of a tv show, but primarily “sharing”. And “sharing” means “connecting” with people. It means “dialogue”. It also means “help” to me, whether it's saying the right words at the right time or a vid that gives you shivers and makes you leave the world behind for a couple of minutes.
Mulder and Scully are such great inspirations that I look up to every single day: they fought many battles, suffering, losing so much along the way... But they never gave up. We need to remind ourselves that “don't give up” is the answer to the larger answer, just like Mulder said at the end of IWTB. So... DON'T GIVE UP! Hold on to your strength, to your beliefs, and remember that even something apparently insignificant like a small human contact can make the difference. And a tv show, too. XF made the difference to me. It still does. It always will.
