Mulla Asghar, founder of the World Federation of Khoja Shia Muslim community and the first president was him with headquarters based in London.
In 1983 he went to Iraq and met Ayatullah Abu al-Qasim al-Khoei, one of the most influential Twelver Shia Islamic scholars (marja'). When he decided to return, he was arrested and became imprisoned in Baghdad jail. At international pressure he was paroled.
Although the majlis was delivered in 1990, the strong message is still relevant today.
