I myself have a 1996 EK hatch that has some rust that needs repairing, my goal is to learn to rust repair and to work on cars overall with it. It's great seeing videos like this, makes me believe i can actually do it

Seriously impressive restoration. If I saw that shell I would say its a lost cause but you turned it into something amazing. This is far more impressive than builds that throw a bunch of expensive parts into a new car.

By the wheels and seats, I thought it was an Ek4. Then I saw the rear drums and then I saw the single jingle. My man, not everyone can show so much love and good work ethic to a "mere" EK hatch that's not an Ek4 or Ek9! Hats off.

Had an accident last Oct.24th and my daily w204 was a write off. Have no choice but to make my 1998 ek hatch same as d16y7 5speed manual to run just a to b. Need a ton of body work like this bc it was neglected by previous owner. Dont hv alot of money and space to work this really helps me alot restorating it.

Congrats on a really good rebuild. Your knowledge is amazing and you have the patience of Job. I would have given up after seeing all the rust. You are very meticulous in your work. Your work on the valves and pistons and shoring up the leaks proves that. I love what you did with the install of the tablet and the rearranging of the climate control system. This rebuild hits close to home because my first Honda was a 96, 3 door Civic hatchback, DX model. Your videos are informative and a pleasure to watch. I thoroughly enjoyed binging the entire Civic rebuild series. I can’t wait to see what you did with the Miata.
