well team, it's october. which can only mean one thing, it's time to embrace the annual fall uniform - a mullet and mustache. here's how i style my hair into a mullet without actually getting a mullet haircut because that feels like a lot of commitment to the bit and ya know im just not sure im there yet.
also - a lot of people have asked me what i do after my hair dries with pomade in it to make it look less greasy/crunchy - so here ya go, let me show you how I do that too without wrecking everything we've already worked for up until this point.
happy fall, fam. and thanks again for stoppin by. love u all. now go rock that mustache.

Aye frankie So i’ve been watching these videos and i’ve been getting my hair wet every morning but throughout the day at school people are asking me how much gel i put in my hair and i don’t even use gel, i scrunch my hair and everything to make it look dryer but people say it looks wet any tips?
@MrFrankieJoseph
@MrFrankieJoseph 7 ай бұрын
My friend !!! I’m sorry I’m just seeing this - KZfaq made me approve your comment? Didn’t even know that was a thing lol anyway !! You’re using pomade? Or what are you using if you’re not using gel? A “matte” finish is crucial to making sure your hair doesn’t look like there’s gel in it when it dries. If you’re using matte finish and it’s still shiny, Use less product my man!! And when you go back in and scrunch it, make sure your hands are dry and you’re not using more product. I hope this helps. Honestly, you only need a little bit of the pomade to make it work!
@user-rw5oo9pr6d
@user-rw5oo9pr6d 9 ай бұрын
Looking good bro. Have you ever tried out paste? Or any other pomade? Looking for alternatives as Harrys isn't available out here. Lastly, do you recommend brushing your hair?
@MrFrankieJoseph
@MrFrankieJoseph 9 ай бұрын
Any water based texturized putty should work 🙏🏼 matte finish medium hold. And I’m personally not a big fan of brushing my hair because it thins out my hair and adds frizz so I only use my hands most of the time unless I’m goin for a slick
@Evanrobertson50
@Evanrobertson50 9 ай бұрын
yoo frankie after applying proudct to my damp hair can i scrunch and mess with it to help dry faster?
@MrFrankieJoseph
@MrFrankieJoseph 9 ай бұрын
Yes !! Just replied on my other vid to you I think but yes. Let it dry for like 10-15 mins at least after ur done and then if it’s a little damp still u can scrunch like a dime size amount of pomade back in and it should dry it up

Great video once again man! I noticed on previous videos when you were rocking super short hair, it was more straight / wavy, rather than a curlier vibe to where it is now. Did you ever perm it? Wondering how you were able to achieve tight curls? Any type of products previously used? Or was it the daily pomade that ended up curling it up?
@MrFrankieJoseph
@MrFrankieJoseph 9 ай бұрын
Thank u my friend!! I’ve never permed my hair, my curly hair is natural but for sure pomade makes the curls more defined. When my hair is shorter there’s just less hair to actually curl so it just looks more wavy, but once my hair gets to a certain length it just starts to spiral lol. Some Products that make my hair curlier are: pomade, curl mousse, leave in conditioner. If I want it to be wavier then I’ll do a sea salt spray and comb that in. Maybe Ill do a product video to break down how I use different shit

I feel like the front of my hair grows incredibly slow, while the sides grow fast. So I want to try this, but I don’t think the front of my hair is long enough where my curls will naturally fall. Any suggestions?

Brooo what do you know of Product build up? Does it make hair greasy? I switched to Harry’s and I wanted to blame it on that but than realized my barber told me I have product buildup and I need to use baking soda to get it out and I feel like a damn grease ball.
@MrFrankieJoseph
@MrFrankieJoseph 4 ай бұрын
Lmfaoooo dude !! Same. I had no idea about product build up, but it’s usually wax/oil based products that cause the build up. That’s why I try to only use products that have a water base (like Harry’s.) That being said, kind of can’t control it because it just naturally happens no matter when u put on ur head. I just make sure to rinse my head every morning and start over from scratch so I’m not putting new product onto my head with old stuff still on there. Also, There are actual spa treatments these days where u can get ur scalp cleaned lmao. Never done it but want to. Hope some of that helps!!!
