I've seen a lot of people say this plot normalizes abusive - doormat relationships that keep East Asian women in thrall to the historical second class status of women, but I'm starting to think differently. Look at the outcomes. When she was the doormat obedient housewife, the husband couldn't care less about her and actively despised her. When she was herself, that is, an intelligent modern woman who didn't accept disrespect from ANYone and who solved her own problems as far as possible, the husband became intrigued and eventually fell in love with her. It seems the message is, Don't be a doormat or your husband and family will walk all over you and look down on you for it. The takeaway for modern young women is that women who are independent and self-respecting are more likely to get and keep their men.

I like this version. Well acted, and there is a lot of growth and realization on the ML's part. FL gets strong and realizes she can't lose herself in a relationship. Love the Sis-in-Law! *I think the husband didn't realize the accident was really serious in the beginning. There's a comment later on that the FL was originally very capricious. Not excusing his behaviour, but I'm wondering if he thought she was pretending to be hurt? (In some other versions of this plot, the FL had a history of setting up dramatic situations in order to try and get the ML's attention)

I've seen this basic storyline several times, and I think this is one of the better versions because it does a better job of explaining the ML's initial hatred of the FL and the misunderstandings between them. That being said... the English subtitles are a mess. Sometimes they only stay up a fraction of a second. I had to pause and go back so many times during this! No lie, it was a split second for some of the subtitles, gone before you could read more than one word.

I am a bit torn on this one, he obviously was an uncaring arsehole during her first life, but he was forced to marry her and she acted like a pathetic doormat with zero dignity, who for some reason, despite being a genius scientist decided to be a stay at home wife and devote her entire time to being a nanny to her husband. She dressed like frumpy nana and didn't seem to brush her hair. Once reborn she is a completely different person, while initially he missed his nanny, I think her standing up for her self to various bully's in her life, cleared up some misunderstandings. She is a competent and beautiful woman now and doesn't take any crap. If she can be a different person in this time line, I guess so can he. Having said this, I do wish she had chosen to stay single, but this is a c drama, the FLs forgive and take back, rapist, murderers and abusers. This MLs cold indifference makes him seem almost a catch. 🤣

I actually liked this series. The plot is similar to the miniseries 'love after divorce '... But I like this better. The ML is oh so handsome, and dznt give any justifications for his abusive behaviour due to misunderstanding... The ML's sister is a refreshing addition to the plot who scolds the ML and tells him he deserves to be divorced. Also, I liked the dialogue which was something like... Behaving coldly with your spouse is also domestic violence.... On the whole, I ll probably be watching this again sometime soon... And plz make more shows with the ML. Hez so good-looking, manly and can act well. ❤

this drama doesn't make it obvious, but his grovelling likely happened over a long span of time, right? if i think about how long it logically takes for drugs to be developed, to go for clinical trials, etc. and the cooling off period added as well...?? and then after the divorce... that dude who woke up from the coma also was rehabilitated (walking and whatnot), that probably took a while too. im glad he grovelled in public, too (i.e. via the media) because his embarrassing her was known by everyone, so his nonsense must be known by everyone too.

I'm not fond of the FL, basically because no one, I say no one, can changed that much. Her characters are very much in the opposite sides, one is submissive the other is dominant? Is she bipolar?? Or maybe it's just a problem with her acting. Acting bully is very easy task, right?
